Club and shaft recommendation?...

I had the most awesome feeling in the world the other day. I hit my 5 iron, and usually put it at around 187 consistently. Not this time, idk how i did it, but i hit the most amzing small draw and right down the middle of the fairway at 210 yards. I was trying to lay up for around 150, but left myself 100, lol. I think I'm pretty sure I'll get the Project X's though. I'll be around Dallas soon, and will find a big store that will really help me out.

You hit your 9 iron 165 and only hit your 5 iron 187 consistently? That makes no sense.

I chose the wrong word. I should have said average. Also the average 9 iron distance on tour is 140-150. I just find it hard to believe that this guy is hitting it 15 yards further than the average pro.

It's the way i play my irons. I have little gaps in them. Like i said i hit my 9 150 and my 5 187 at a comfortable swing. But the 165 and 205 are when i really muscle it. on my driver, i had a swing speed if 113, and that was about 85% of what i usually hit it. The ball speed was around 160. The guy at the shop said i could hit 120 no problem. I'm inconsistent right now, and thats why i want new woods and irons, because i'm about to get pretty serious.
