Pharaohs Golf Club in Corpus Christi TX. I am sure in the 60's the course was very nice, sadly it looks like no maintenance has been done since then. Entire fairways of dirt and patch grass. The greens were all in rough shape.

Shorecliffs in Orange County. I always score 35 to 40 strokes over on this course. The fairways are narrow with trouble left and right. There is a par 4 where you have to hit a 7 iron off the tee box and then a 3 W to the green. I hit some nice drives and later found out that they were OB. If you don't hit it dead straight, you won't enjoy this course. I probably will never come back.

So is it a poorly kept/designed course or just insanely difficult?

Norwood Country Club in MA. Wow the worst golf course I have ever been on. Took one step off the fairway and sunk up to my knee in mud. There is no drainage and the course is soggy in the middle of july with no rain for 2 weeks. Not to mention the random piles of dirt/grass scattered around the fairways.

3rd time out I just played a course called Chesapeake Hills. Now granted I am very green to golf and have only played a few times. This course was by far the worst. The greens were the worst. Managed to land on a par 4 in 2 and was putting for my first birdie ever only to notice when I walked up to the green that what laid before my ball was nothing more than dirt to the hole.

I would say about 10 out of 18 greens were in that condition.
Did not deture me from wanting to play more.. Cant wait to get out on another course soon.

    • Day 295 6-26 Low point control with towel again. Getting better but not swinging fast enough tonight.
    • Shot a 37 today! Palmer Course, PGA National. Really fun. 6/9 GIR, no lost balls. The double and the bogey were both three putts from like 35 feet or so.  The birdie at the last was really fun. I stood over that fifteen footer and thought wow I’m really about to make this, aren’t I? And I hearted it. Really fun. It’s like 9000 degrees outside but I battled through it well. Good times.
    • I had been in a bit of a slump for the month of June. Handicap index has slowly risen, and there were few sub-80 scores. Today was a different story at Leslie Park GC. Lots of solid shots, GIR's, up & downs, for a 77 (7.8 differential). As with most rounds, there were a few loose shots and crappy putts, but it was a good day.
    • Day 632 - 2026-06-26 Stayed after to do some Skillest lessons and get some practice in.
    • Day 6  (26 Jun 26) - Played 18 today in the Friday men's group shootout.  Would love to say it was an awesome round, but it wasn't  - had a tough day with the putter (especially on the front - short putts missing left or right or just short - just could not get a feel for the greens).
