Played today at about 35 degrees. Lots of layers, stocking hat, and Footjoy winter gloves.

Absolutely love it, maybe cause it is a change from the hot as balls weather down here. Going to visit family in Wayzata at the end of October excited to play Interlachen and Bearpath for the 2 weeks I am there, hopefully it stays nice a cool.

Did you mean if I will need someone to complete the foursome?

If so you are more than welcome to join, grandparents are members and they are gone to Scottsdale by that date already so it is just going to be me out there playing (maybe a brother in law will join a couple of times out). I will for sure PM you to play when I'm in town.

Played today in 42 degrees with my mom. I loved every minute of it. Kept thinking about my dad who passed away 2-1/2 years ago. We used to play a lot as a family. Just wish he was still here...

Winter golf in the UK sucks.
Soaking wet fairways and temporary greens? Horrible mats to tee off from?
Frozen fairways and greens with balls bouncing 20 feet up in the air and finding bushes they have no right to find?
Break out the Monopoly.

...is what we have in Finland between October and early May. Although, the cold weather is good for practising ball-striking. Hit anything but the sweetspot and you want to let go of the club.

No one is allowed on the course early mornings. Competitions start around 11am and on a cloudy day by 5pm. it's already too dark to play. I'm seriously considering flying to Portugal or Spain for a few weeks during the darkest months.

My Aerolite bag contains:

VR Tour Driver Project X 5.5
904F 17* 4-wood Sabre Stiff
MP68 3-PW Project X 6.0
52* Vokey Spin Milled -wedge

Redwood ZB

I prefer a ball, but may occasionally hit almost anything.

If it's a blue sky and the sun is out, I don't mind playing when it's cold. Still, the body tends to stiffen up, hands get cold. It's delightfully fresh though, being outside in the crisp fall air. Just gotta wear something to keep you warm. I'd rather sweat a bit than play golf being cold.

I don't mind the cold so much. You really have no choice here, you either get used to it or lose 2 months out of the already short enough golf season.

Plus the cold weather gives me a chance to don my argyle sweaters and sweater vests with slacks and not look like a total douche or sweat my Pro V's off.
