My natural shot is a low draw, but the funny thing is when I have to intentionally curve the ball around something I'm much better at hitting a big fade/slice than a big draw/hook.

Six months ago it would have been a slight draw but now it's a (not yet quite consistent enough!) fade.

sometimes i get a slight draw or fade but usually straight. i can try drawing or fading around a tree or something if necessary but shaping shots when not necessary is something i tend to avoid/need to work on.

was that a real dog?

i like to draw, but i can pretty much hit any shape i want since i started
swinging on a much flatter plane. though i tend to push instead of fade
with my driver.

Its funny but as I am getting older {58} now I hit a draw/hook.In my younger days I hit the most georgous power fades you ever saw.Now for me to hit a fade I allmost have to reinvent my swing.

Most of the time, my ball flight is a draw of some kind, but as you may be able to tell by my handicap, I am a fairly inconsistent player. Sometimes, a fade will appear out of no where. This tends to happen actually more than once in a round. When I miss, I can miss with both a hook and a slice, but usually it's a hook. I'm not exactly sure why I miss in so many different ways in the same round, but it happens a lot. Just recently I was playing with someone and I hit this terrible banana slice off the tee on the 11th. He says "Where the hell did that come from?" as I had been either drawing it or slightly hooking it all day. I guess this just comes with the territory of being a high handicapper.

Overall, my ball flight is:
75% of the time: Draw
10%: Fade
10%: Hook
5%: Slice

My natural shape is a draw and I am usually fighting a draw, hook but learn to play the shot.

I would like to fade my driver on holes that require the fade but does not come easy for me, so I need to work on the power fade.

I usually hit a draw, although sometimes, for whatever reason, i just can't turn the ball over and hit a fade.

You say you used to hit a push draw, well that's why you blocked some shots, sometimes you would get the face closed(relative to the swing path), which would cause a push draw and sometimes you would only get it square to the swingpath at impact, which would cause you to block the shot to the right.

There's nothing wrong with a slight push as long as it isn't costing you strokes. Just remember, with that type of swing your tendency will be to miss to the right. I fought that same swing tendency for a while, it's pretty much went away now though after working on it.

A draw with every one of my clubs. It irks me because when I try to fade the ball, I end up pushing it and fading it. I'm still working out the kinks...
