Golfing Milestone

I never lost a ball, either. Hit a few that I'm still looking for, but I haven't declared them lost yet.

pfft thats nothing. I played a links course a few months ago and for some reason the rough kept hiding my golf balls and it was impossible to find them. I'd say I lost around 20+ balls They were a load of scuffed balls though so I didn't mind. I'd say the total amount I

- Shot a personal best 77. (Par 71)
- Shot 1 over par on 9 holes.
- Didn't lose a golf ball in two straight rounds. Came close as I found one bad shot three holes later.
- Had four birdies in one round. Twice as many as ever before.
- I was finally on the winning team of my annual golf outing.

I rarely lose a ball, and I find alot of them. From June until now, I've almost filled up a 3 gallon bucket with found balls. I've got help, though. My 8 yr old daughter often searches for balls while I play, and she's learned where all the good spots are. If I hit a wayward teeshot, she's liable to find it plus 10 more while I take a penalty and finish the hole.

What if you find more than you loose? I always considered that a plus.

my milestones for this past season...
hitting a consistent controllable draw and eliminating my slice...
breaking into and keeping single digits...
ive gone thru 3 rounds in a row without losing a ball but lately with all the leaf litter and the overgrown rough its been difficult

I played an entire season (approx. 30 rounds) and the most putts I had for 18 holes was 35. And my home courses have BIG greens.

With the clocks rolling back, my golf season is offically over. (i play mostly in the evenings) From now on ill probably only play two or 3 times a month until spring. I acheived a quirky personal milestone this year in that i didnt lose a single ball, and i played the entire season with the same three plastic tees. Im quite proud of this, haha. Anyone else go through a season without a lost ball, or have their own quirky personal milestone?

One or two thing could be the problem... a) you play in a barren desert and there's no place for you to lose a ball... b) You need to build up your strength and hit the darn thing further

Only kidding - that is very tidy golf not to lose a ball all season. I played a round last week and only swore once... that was a personal milestone

Well lets see... played 2 rounds in a row without losing a ball (both with tons of leaves on the ground and very wet!), finally shot under 40 for 9 holes, and played 18 holes in 2 and a half hours today. Woohoo!

The longest I've ever gone with the same ball is 17 holes. Lost it on the 18th when I duck-hooked it right into the woods.
