Put it under your shirt/jumper. I love listening to tunes while grinding out the short game.

I like listening to my iPod when I'm working on the range, practicing short game stuff, playing a round by myself, and most importantly while getting ready for a competitive round.

simply AWESOME!!! hahaha!

I too listen to my ipod on the range and on the practice green ALL THE TIME i dont need people talking to me distracting me while i practice - im there to DO WORK SON!...leave me alone i dont listen while on the course tho and i would strangle someone if they pulled up w tunes blasting from their ipod dock or phone in their cart i listen to a lot of different stuff, from Linkin Park, Jay Z, Eminem, some random stuff from BPM, Nickelback, and some old skool punk rock like Strung Out, Face to Face, Pennywise and Lagwagon....all good sh*t!

I love music, and need to listen seriously every day. But I can't imagine combining it with practicing golf. There's such a big auditory element in evaluating a shot -- the sound of a properly-struck ball is unmistakeable whether it's a chip, a sand shot or a drive -- that I wouldn't want to give that up.

Stretch.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

If I'm playing by myself or just out by the range I will listen to Dave Matthews, 311, the Dirty Heads, Goo Goo Dolls.  I tuck the wires under my shirt down my back and keep the nano in my back pocket.  I don't even notice it there.

If I'm playing with people though I would rather talk to them.  Thats what golf is about to me.

I have a few guys I play with regularly and we ALWAYS have an ipod thingy playing. It's very relaxing and we keep it to where it doesn't bother groups ahead or behind. We've had MANY folks say they wish they'dve thought of doing it. Doesn't bother me at all, but then I have focus as some other anal retentive folks don't. Same folks that b*tch about what the other guy is wearing and what not.

I am not a big ipod guy, but I do use it in the car (plugged in to my stereo) and on the range for about 2% of my practice time. I listen to mellow stuff to keep my swing slow. I will plug in the ipod if I have round that I am anxious about and I want to relax my swing. When hitting balls out on the course for fun I have plugged in some tunes too.

I do recall doing short game section with Chris Rock on the ipod - good times
