They have a Roger Dunn there which is nice.

After 5-6 balls... feels like a regular range. I can't tell the balls are heavier.

love water ranges, and the one near my house has very accurate yardages given the difference in the balls.

It's a cool little place. The first time I went to a Bridgestone ball fitting, it was at that range.

I don't like that the place charges for their short game area. But that was 2007, and may have changed since then.

I suggest against using it if the next course or two you're going to play has lots of water. This is rarely a problem around here, though. But I got the whole "let's hit into water and not care" thing into my head and it stuck for too long.

As I kid I grew up sneaking into that place to go fishing.

They have some incredible sized largemouth bass and have been kicked out on many occasion.

      First round at Quail Ridge: 47 + 47 = 94 *Note: It was 25+ mph winds with gust in the 35+ mph. It was also around 58 degrees. I felt like I was out in Oregon. The greens were very firm.  Driver was decent. It didn't cause me an issues.  Irons were the biggest issue. Just low point control was lacking. Mostly on the chunky side. Also, my irons were routinely 20-30 yards shorter than normal. Even on holes with a cross wind, the ball was just dying. We played an extra 9 holes after the first 18, and the wind died down by then. I stepped into a 9 iron, and it came up 15 yards short. I have no clue what is going on. I should not be hitting 9 irons 140 yards when I am hitting my driver 300 to 310 yards.  Warmup didn't give me much confidence. I just kept shanking every other iron shot. I didn't shank an iron during the round. I just felt all out of sorts today. Coordinate felt off.  yea, I have no idea if I am purposely slowing down my swing to feel my downswing piece. Again, I hit a decent 9 iron and lost 15 yards of carry. I hope this is just an off day.

      Day 565 - 2026-04-19 Wanted to get home to do some spring cleaning type stuff, so I practiced for about seven or eight minutes and got my butt home. Just backswing stuff, mostly, with freezers and a little downswing feel. Liking the new big mirror I have.
