Some of you need to get off your high horses and ease up on persecuting Tiger. I'm certainly not saying it's right or should be accepted, but no one commenting here can say for sure if or not they would engage in similar behaviors.

More money than you know what to do with. Good looking women who will do anything for you and to you. Odds of being caught, if all parties involved are smart, are fairly low. A choice of female companionship wherever you go. Plus, it's kind of fun to mix it up a little bit isn't it?

If anyone says YES, and that they would resist all temptations, I will then call you a liar, because you are either lying or simply kidding yourself.

Plus, what married professional athlete DOESN'T cheat? That would be worthy of news.

That is why I have always said that pro athletes shouldn't be married while they are playing their respective sport. Play your sport, have your fun (get it out of your system), save and invest your money, and then retire and marry that little hotty 15-20 years younger than you are.

PS - can you tell I'm not married?

You know, when I was younger (20's), I use to be one of those on high horses. I thought I could act morally correctly all the time if a hypothetical question was posed to me.

But now I know better. It is not as easy as I thought. I always thought I could act rightly, but boy was I wrong. It is a very fine line between being good and being bad. It is not like I didn't try, but it is a lot harder than I thought. As someone said above, "don't judge a person unless you walked in his shoes".

I can't believe his wife would stay with him, or that any woman or man puts up with infidelity. Divorce is certainly a justifiable option. Even Jesus says that's OK when adultery is involved. She'd obviously get plenty in the divorce settlement and no doubt find someone better than T. Woods. If she stays with him, what has she got to look forward to, years of actually infidelity, more rumors, stories in People, and lots of talking behind your back, or sitting at home wondering who he is sleeping with tonight. Not a good future if you're his wife. Once that trust is broken, its pretty hard to ever get it completely back.

Exactly my point. I am in my 20's and I know myself well enough to know that I don't and shouldn't be married right now.

wow, woman #4 appears and lawyers up. this one he met in Orlando. and surprise, surprise, shes another cocktail waitres. I wonder how many women are going to come forward before this is all over. i think his marriage is doomed

It really should go without saying but . .if you're a billionaire celebrity athlete with an image to protect DO NOT sleep with cocktail waitresses. Try to pick mistresses who would also be embarrassed if the news got out . . .maybe some hot married actress?

Wow, as the news keeps developing I'm amazed now at how many women Tiger was involved with and hiding from his wife.

Perhaps Playboy magazine can be Tiger's next sponsor, as he's exactly what the magazine needs to bring back the Playboy brand name to dominance. Tiger and Hef could have articles and golf-tips side by side, and there could be a "Cocktail Waitress of the Month" centerfold spread in each issue that Tiger has personally tested.

All kidding aside, I wonder what the gallery's reaction to Tiger will be when he plays his first PGA US tournament next year? I know many people here state, "I watch Tiger for his golfing abilities", but I don't know if the PGA tour galleries will be as understanding.

Will he be cheered on with his first appearance or will he receive nothing but boos?

Will Tiger's wife show up at the events? Imagine the commentators as the camera focuses in on her,
"...and there's Tiger's supportive wife and their children, and....um, (awkward pause)....yeah."

I don't see how Tiger will be able to play a single round at any tournament without getting some flak from the public. I'm a fan of Tiger's golfing abilities, as he motivated me to start playing golf, but this infidelity problem will be a big setback to his career in 2010 until it blows over.

Hopefully his wife can forgive him, perhaps publicly. Or divorce him and get it over quickly, then at least Tiger may get some sympathy.

2011 Goals:
* Improve club-head speed to 90 mph with the driver
* Ensure increased speed does not compromise accuracy
* Prevent overextending on the back-swing (left-arm is bending too much at the top)
* Relax arms initially at address ( too tense)* Play more full rounds (failed from 2010)

In fact I'll bet that this whole mess makes Tiger a much better person in the long run. I'm sure he will be doing a lot of soul searching and will likely find that his family is more important that sleeping with waitresses. Time will tell.

This whole "scandal" shouldn't surprise anyone. As for Tiger's days on the course in front of the cameras and galleries, they will NEVER be the same.

I agree. In fact, I always thought he was pretty much of a square who for his whole life only foucused on being the greatest golfer ever.

I used to joke with people saying if I was a pro golfer I would be more like notorious (but single) ladies man and partier Tommy Armour III, than single-minded Tiger Woods. Little did I know, lol!

I think you're correct, and Tiger found himself married but still trying to make up for missed opportunities with the ladies.

I believe Tommy Armour III is divorced, so even he had to learn "the hard way," so to speak...

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
    • I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
