I am looking to add a 19* hybrid to my arsenal and looking for some opinions on the plethora of options out there.

I currently have a 22* TM Burner (2007 model) and hit it pretty well so another one of those is a possibility but fearful that more current equipment would have substantial benefits over the older models.

I have been looking at what Nickent has to offer and Adams, specifically the A3 Boxer line. Other than that, I have no idea what is good and what is junk so any comments would be greatly appreciated.
IN MY BAG:
Driver - FT-5 9* Aldila MOI Proto S-flex
3W - 200 Steel Fujikura Speeder 757 S-flex
Hybrid - 22* Burner Rescue Aldila NV Hybrid S-flex
Irons - 4-PW 755 TriSpec S-flexWedges - X-Tour Vintage SW 588 gunmetal LWPutter - Natalie 34"Ball - TP Red

what is good v. junk simply depends on what you like... this is 100% preference type thing. You will not loose ANYTHING by going with a 2007 model v. a 2010 model, unless of course you hit the new one better, but that aside, the technology is the same.

I like Adams and Nickent... they make some smaller sized hybrids which I like, but again... 100% preference.
My Clubs: Callaway FT-i Tour LCG 9.5° w/ Matrix Ozik Xcon 6 stiff; Sonartec GS Tour 14° w/ Graphite Design Red Ice 70 stiff; Adams Idea Pro 2h(18°) & 3h(20°) w/ Aldila VS Proto 80 stiff; Adams Idea Pro Forged 4-PW w/ TT Black Gold stiff; Cleveland CG12 DSG RTG 52°-10° & 58°-10°; Odyssey...

Titleist 909H is worth a look. I tried a 19* model several months ago with the Voodoo shaft and found it to be an excellent club for long shots from the rough.

The acoustics from a well struck shot are quite pleasing as well.

P.S. the WilsonStaff FYbrid is supposed to be an excellent club as well. I've not tried one myself yet, but the 19.5* model gets solid reviews online.

My #6 Hybrid is the model after the '07s. the rest are '07s. The newer design has the double crown technology which does move more weight to the bottom, it also makes the sole larger which is not that great an idea in a rescue club. I hit the '07s really well and think they are a fine club. You can see that I have the 3-6 hybrids, I am not sure that was a good idea at my handicap, my distances are not repeatable enough for those clubs to reliably hit different distances. Have you considered picking up an '07 5 wood, they are highly discounted now and would not be so close to the 22* rescue in the shots you would use it for. I have one and am using it more than my #3 hybrid.

Either the sport you play with this bag is NOT golf... OR you take clubs out before you play.

Rule 4-4. Maximum of 14 Clubs a. Selection and Addition of Clubs The player must not start a stipulated round with more than 14 clubs. He is limited to the clubs thus selected for that round, except that if he started with fewer than 14 clubs, he may add any number, provided his total number does not exceed 14.

Good catch, Big_M! My first glance at the photo made me suspicious, too. Fifteen clubs and a putter?

By my count 16 and a putter?

In my bag:

Driver: Titleist TSi3 | 15º 3-Wood: Ping G410 | 17º 2-Hybrid: Ping G410 | 19º 3-Iron: TaylorMade GAPR Lo |4-PW Irons: Nike VR Pro Combo | 54º SW, 60º LW: Titleist Vokey SM8 | Putter: Odyssey Toulon Las Vegas H7

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

I am still deciding what to carry, it was easier to just buy'em all and decide later.

Anyway, OP, I know you are a single and I am a high handicapper but I hope my suggestion gives you something to consider. Ya know, maybe you should look at the Raylor 19* to give the club more purpose.

I've been on a hybrid hunt as of late, I play Mizuno CLK HiFlis right now reshafted as per my signature.

As for what's available right now, I like the Adams A7, and Ping G10 or I15s. I tried to kick my Mizunos out of the bag but after hitting them all extensively I honestly didn't see that big a difference.

Driver: i15 8* UST Axivcore Red 69S
3w: CB1 15* Grafalloy Prolaunch Platinum 75s
5w: G10 18.5* UST V2 HL

4h: 3DX 23* UST V2 Hybrid5i-pw: MX-23 TT Dynalite Gold S300GW/SW: RAC 52*and 56*Putter: SabertoothBag: KingPin

In no particular order, I'd recommend: Adams Pro black or Pro Gold, G5 or G10, Nickent 4DX, Bobby Jones, Nakashima, Alpha... All are really good hybrids. I have a pile of them, leaned up against the wall in the spare room, waiting for spring! I think you'd be find with any of those

The Pro Black, while a sharp looking head, is a small head built as more of a players club with little forgiveness.

I have just gone through the process of changing my 18 degree nike sumo. I narrowed it down to the TM rescue 09 or the Titleist 909h, both 19 degrees. I went with the TM because I saw a great deal on it. They are both great rescues with the 909h probably slightly better, but not £25 better lol.

The cobra baffler is a great club. this is the only one i have tried recently so i couldn't give you an opinion on any others. i like the look of the titliest hybrids, and i might try the 909 or the 585h vs the bafflers as my local pro shop stocks both.
What I Play:
Wilson Mini Stand Bag | PING G10, 10.5°, Proforce V2 HL S | PING G5, 15°, 18°, Aldila NV 75 S | PING G5, 19°, Aldila VS Proto By You 80 S
Mizuno MX200 4-PW S | Ping Tour W 50/12 X | Ping Tour W 58/TS X | A selection of putters, all 35.5 inches.

Just yesterday, I picked up a new Adams Idea A7 hybrid, 19*. It feels like butter, but the shaft is very stiff. I got a regular shaft for the first time in my life. $150 is about double the most I've ever spent for a hybrid before now, but it felt that good.

What's in my Sun Mountain C-130 bag:

Driver - Taylormade Superfast 2.0 TP 10.5
3 Wood - Taylormade Burner 15* REAX
Hybrid - Adams Idea Pro 18* GD YSQ-HL

Irons - Callaway X-18 4-PW

GW - Cleveland 588 51*

SW - Cleveland CG 12 56*

LW - Cleveland CG15 60*

Putter - Cameron Studio Style Newport 2

Bushnell Medalist rangefinder

ping g10. i am a mostly callaway or taylormade guy. but i just bought a demo used g10 18 degree thinking i might have made a mistake, might be too low lofted as i am an avg player, nothing special. r flex irons. stiff woods. but man it flew so high and penetrating and just plain carried. so straight it was like a point and shoot club. i can only imagine if an 18 deg was this easy...what the heck would a 24 or so? be like? must be bullet proof i would guess.

    • Played Musgrove Mill today. 72.3/155. +9 for 15 official holes as 2 holes are closed, and the par 5 16th plays as a converted par 3. We played the first three holes over to finish 18, and parred 1 and2 amped bogeyed 3. The good: hit every fairway. 1 less than normal for the converted par 3, but the second time I have done that this year. My sand wedge approach on 10 after a monster drive hit the pin in the back left corner hit he pin and spun away to 9’, and I missed the putt.   The great: hit 8 GIR and 7 were inside 10’. Needs work: Missed every birdie putt. No lip-outs. Just struggled on fast greens. Three-putted the par-5 9th with the pin on the back tier and jut missed hitting my approach to the proper level and it spun all the way to the front of the green.
