I was watching an episode of Golf Fix and I saw an episode of butch Harmom giving some tips. On the driver lesson, this person had problems with slicing the ball. Butch mentioned a term "turning your hands inward" during impact. He says it helps the face of the club square up to the ball during impact. Can someone explain this because i actually tried it at the course and the results were somewhat promising. I drove the ball straight as an arrow.

I wouldn't do it. Might work temporarily but in my opinion it leads to problems down the line.

He's talking about rolling your hands over at impact?Surely a more efficient way to stop the slice is a stronger left hand grip.I had an awful slice with the driver and cured it this way.Have a slightly weaker grip with Irons.Don't know why I need to do that with the Driver, but it works.
A great shot is when you go for it and pull it off. A smart shot is when you don't have the guts to try it. ~ Phil Mickelson.

The preferable way to fix an open clubface at impact is to assume a neutral grip and work on not rolling the arms over during the backswing, keeping the clubhead square throughout the swing. Taking a stronger grip will simply put a band aid on the problem and most likely not last long. Fix the cause, not the symptom.

Unless the problem is just swinging across the ball. He could have a square clubface at impact already.

That is of course a good point. The common golf terms are often interpreted differently. I was going by the assumption that the clubface was open, but that may of course be wrong in the case which was shown on TV. Either way, this thread discussed turning, flipping or rolling the wrists, what it meant and if you should do it. I say nay.
If someone struggle with slicing, pushing, push-slicing etc., first thing to identify is the ball flight.

Interesting how understanding ball flight can help fixing a problem. I find myself talking about clubface angle and swingpath is nearly every thread.
