I have had about 20 ping m fit gloves, each one of them have lasted either 1 - 2 months each. They are made out of the best material possible (my thoughts). They seem to last forever lol!
I do play off a plus handicap, so I do need the very best, I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

1-2 months really isnt that great. Any golf glove should last that long, even if you are playing 2-3 round per week.

Really? I play 10 rounds a month (at the range after work once a week) and Ill be lucky to have a glove last 3 weeks before it tears. So really if I am going to pay $20 for a glove it better last me longer than 14 sessions.

Really? Are your grips made of razorwire? I wear FJ weathersoft gloves and I can usually get 30 rounds out of one plus the range sessions in between. This translates to about 4 months. Even then I can't remember the last time I

tore one... They just get nasty and thin so I replace them.

I remember an article in one of the golf magazines within the past few years that showed how premature glove wear usually has a lot to do with your not gripping the club correctly. It showed a golf glove with tears/rips/worns spots in different locations on the glove and described how different grip flaws cause the each type of damage. It was basically showing how you can look at your glove to tell how you need to fix your grip.

I can make a glove last just about a whole season. I use the standard FJ's. I play about 1-2 a week. But this season I anticipate playing every day when school gets out, so I will see how they hold up then.

I haven't tried these gloves yet but I mostly use Footjoy all weather gloves and I'm on the range once a day, and play about 4-5 rounds a week. They last about a month or so. I also love the TaylorMade Stratus all weather gloves. I'll have to take a look at these Ping gloves.

I always get a hole in the bottom right side of my glove, if you were looking at your palm.

Yes i have gone through many a gloves. Then again i try to get out for at least an hour a day with 8-10 rounds a week. I usually go through 3-4 gloves a season. sometimes i trade out gloves just because they tend to get a little smooth. And what is the good having a glove that is worn smooth? my bear hand has better grips than some worn gloves.

Do you still have the original glove? If so tell us what you are using maybe i will give that a try too.

Then it sounds like all the tour pros are improperly gripping their clubs, because they only use a glove for one or two rounds. I practice about 3 hours a day, and I go through a leather glove in about two weeks, and a synthetic in about a two months. I always have the same two spots go bad, both in spots where the glove sits loosely against the grip. Right at heel of the palm, and the bottom pad of the thumb, where it lays against the grip.

Tour pros change gloves because they lose their tackiness/stickiness and because they stretch, not because they wear holes in them.

During the summer, I play at least twice a week and practice at least once. A typical glove (I usually use Titleist Perma-Soft) will last about a month before it becomes slick. That being said, I don't wear holes in them. Big difference. Edit: I just found this link ( http://www.tees2greens.com/blogs/ran...our-glove.aspx ) that kinda describes what I remember reading in one of the golf magazines.

I've had a taylormade targa glove since last june...thing is still in great shape (a bit stiffer now after rounds but oh well) and there's only one part that's coming apart by the back of the hand...from me pulling it so tight on my hand...never a hole, used to get them by the palm tho...definitely from how i used to grip the club

I don't wear holes in gloves either, I change them because they lose tackyness. But the two spots I mentioned are the places where the leather wears down.

    • Day 316 - More swings, full backswing and full finish.
    • Day 132: did some mirror work while watching TV. Worked on backswing stuff primarily.
    • 26 Nov 24 -  It was not a record breaking round by any means, but rather a simple walking of the back nine today playing TBWB (two ball-worse ball) where the challenge is to play the worse of the two shots played - could be an errant drive from the woods, a tree knocked ball that is 100 yds farther back down the fairway, a nGIR ball as opposed to a GIR….the goal today was to stay no worse than bogie thru nine.  Managed to achieve that goal - bogied 7 holes with one dbl and one par to counter the dbl.  It’s about staying focused and not letting a bad shot or lie derail, but rather be an opportunity.
    • Day 208 (26 Nov 24)- Opted to walk 9 today (was the back nine as they had a huge group going off the front) but instead of it being persimmons and blades, I had the regular gamers but made it a TBWB (two ball-worst ball) round.  This really challenges on several fronts - ball striking to be as consistent as possible, course management from non-optimal lies and keeping your head in it as it can be depressing to nail a shot on line-on target and the second rattles the trees right and it’s over 50 yards back and that’s the one you have to play.  The goal was to be no worse than bogie overall (+9).  Finished the round exactly on the number with some solid recoveries, no penalty strokes and only one 3-putt.
