It looks like you pic your head and body up too early after impact.  You should drive through the ball and keep your head down and body down as well.  Sorry this is a little hard to explain.  Pause rory's swing at 19 seconds and you will see what I mean.

If you pause it there...to me it looks like you abruptly pick yourself up out of the shot.  Which would mean to me that you aren't driving through the ball but picking the ball up.  Just what it looks like to me.

I appreciate you comment and when i pause Rory's swing the big thing I notice is his hips are pointing towards his target and mine seem to be way more closed.  Thanks again I will have to work on this!!!

That is correct.  In your photo your right leg is/was pushing out towards the ball, notice your heel is up.  It needs to be pushing towards the target, or your left side.  Your not getting your weight on your left side causing you to flip at the ball.

If you look at your release point high & left you want to finish low & to the left, this will give you the feeling of compressing the ball.

Can you please show me an example? And some tips on how to finish lower? Thanks!

Your hips didn't slide forward. Your right knee kicked in towards the golf ball, stalling the slide and spinning the hips instead.

Working on a slower take a way and more hip slide.  I think I'm closer as I've see a change in ball flight.  Something with the slower take a way has helped the hips move more?  Any and all thoughts would be appreciated.

I've been Playing Golf for: 25 years

My current handicap index or average score is: 8-9

My typical ball flight is: high fade

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: hoselrocket

More hip slide.  Ball position too far back, due to this.  You are just turning the hips and straightening the left leg too soon.  Feel as if you are keeping your left knee flexed longer on the down swing, more of a feel of driving through the ball, not just a turn.

    • It’s winter here and time hitting at my indoor place.  This year I bought and sold a few sets so I didn’t settle in on anything. For this coming season, starting now I have a choice to make.  What set would you guys use? 1.  Nike Vapor Pro irons - They are like new, hit them some last year before I had to demo other sets.  I love them, original grips, barely used so I’m almost not wanting to use them to keep their value up.  Standard LLL and standard grips. 2. Taylormade P7TW irons - Still in the box.  Got them over a year ago but had too much to hit, never used them.  Have used a set in the past and loved them.  Ended up with my own set custom fit to me -1/4”, 1 degree flat midsize grips.  These are probably not as valuable because they are still available and they are fit to me. I hate to put the Nikes away but it makes more sense to save them than the TW’s…. I dunno….
    • Day 215 (3 Dec 24) - Another very chilly day - opted to work on easy pitches in the backyard. Worked thru the irons and wedges - focused on foot position and tempo.
