Well I've been wanting a G15 Draw ,but money is tight so after reading all the great reviews on the R7 draw I disided to get one. Orderd from TM preownd in exellent cond. for 105$ shipped. 1 year warranty and it's a 10.5 with a Adiila NV 65 stiff. Should be a great club for my swing. Anyone here ever game one...your thoughts?

I had one with the stock Mitsubishi shaft (stiff). It was a great driver and just as good as my current Ping or the Nike drivers I had (Sumo^2 & Dymo). I would think that you could get an even better deal on a used one, but I haven't spent any time looking. Maybe that shaft makes the difference?

I have 2 (thought I lost it, replaced it, found it later). They are 9 or 9.5 deg (can't remember) stiif, though. Anyway, I liked the driver but after a while the draw bias started bugging me.

The R7 SOUNDS great when hit, much nicer than my Burner. It does have a smaller sweet spot but that should not matter for you.

Yeah Chief....I think I got a great deal with the warrenty and shaft. Plus I know it's not a fake. You can still get new ones on ebay for About 130$ plus shipping. Most of the used R7's are going for 85$ to 100$ used. With as many fakes as there are on the market I wanted to go with a ligit site.

I've played mine the last two seasons and plan on playing it this season. I think it's a great club. Best of luck with it.

If you don't mind me asking, for what reason did you get it with a draw? Just curious.

"Yep. Inside each and every one of us is one true authentic swing. Somethin' we was born with. Somethin' that's ours and ours alone. Somethin' that can't be taught to ya or learned. Somethin' that got to be remembered."

Because of a nice fade to small slice I have. No... I don't have time/money for lessons or much practice. Just wanted a club that might help me a little. I already have a fairly good swing less the problem mentioned. Hey we all like to improve our game somehow. :)

Yeah I was going to say if you played more frequently that a neutral club and a lesson or two would be a much better investment. If you're content then that's cool too. I always like the challenge of fixing a swing too thats why I find the draw/fade biased clubs so strange. IMO, whats the point of playing golf to become better and master the swing if people just buy a "quick fix" with a fixed club? But thats in my case where I play constantly and what not. But yes the R7 is a nice club.

Seems to me that Draw clubs help with the occasional 40 yard slice. I got one once but I don't fade the ball consistently enough. Half the time I would hit it straight, every other time I would draw the ball 10 yards. But I never hit the huge slice with it!

Anyway, enjoy the new Driver! There's nothing quite getting a new club, maybe getting a new car, that's the only thing I can compare it to.

It's a great club for faders/slicers. $105 is great for a nice, relatively new driver that you know is legit. And it comes with a warranty. Nice pickup.

Honestly I wish it was in the cards for me to take lessons, but o well. I'm always trying to improve, but it's on the course when I get time and feel like playing. May have a great Burner for sale soon if anyone is interested!

I think it's a great club. I have an R9, but one of my regular golfing buddies has the R7 draw that he lets me use whenever I want. I swear I hit that thing better than the R9.

Can you believe TM preownd sent my R7 with a cracked shaft that has a coat of epoxy on it. Sat on the phone on hold for 20 minutes before giving up. I'm sure they will take care of it, but they never should have sent out a club with a cracked shaft in the first place. Not good!!

Sorry for your hassle, you tried to "do it right". Makes the Ebay bashers look pretty silly, huh? A friend ordered some uber wedge from an informercial the other day and when it got here the clear coat on the shaft was peeling. I have bought clubs on ebay with no problems but the most fun I have had was going to a repair guy here in town who sells used clubs. I got my Callaway Warbird from him and it was really fun to pick just what I wanted and hit it there; the perfect club, $19; talking golf, priceless.

Finally got ahold of them...They were very good about it all. Have a few diffrent ways to take care of the problem. I think I'm going to take a pic of the crack and send TMpreowned a photo. The guy told me they would refund for what it costs me to have a new NV 65 put in. A pain in the arse, but they are taking care of it without any BS. A+ for them on their service....so far!!

    • Probably since the golfer has to swing the club back and up. The hands have to move back and up. You can feel them go back and up just by turning the shoulders and bending the right arm, because it brings your hands towards your right shoulder.  The difference is if you maintain width or not. Less width means a shorter feeling swing path so the more you need to lift the arms. Being as someone who gets the right arm bend at 110+ degrees, it's 100% a timing issue. I am use to like a 1.5+ second backswing. It probably should be like 1 second at most. Half a second or more will feel like an eternity. I have had swings where I keep my right arm straighter and I am still trying to time the downswing based on the old tempo.  Ideally, for me, it is probably going to be a much quicker and shorter (in duration) backswing, while keeping the right elbow straighter. Which also means more hinging to get swing length without over swinging.

    • I'm currently recuperating from surgery, so no golf, but have been thinking about this quite a bit. This and the don't overbend the right arm thing. It's hard for me to even pose the position, so I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like it's impossible to have the right humerus along the shirt seam and not overbend your right arm, unless your hands are down near your hips. If the left arm is up at or above the shoulder plane and your right arm is bent less than 90 degrees, then your right humerus has to raise or your hands will get pulled apart. Your left hand can't reach your right hand unless either the right upper arm is up or the right arm is overbent. Is that right? If it is, then focusing on not overbending the right arm would force you to raise the humerus. And actually thinking further on it, if you do overbend your right arm, then you're basically forcing your upper arm down or forcing your left arm to bend. Since (for me at least) bending the left arm too much is not something I think I need to worry about, it means that the bend in the trail arm is really the driving force behind what happens to the right humerus.
    • I managed to knock off a 3, a 13, and a 15 a couple of weeks ago. The 3 was a 185 yard par 3 with a 6 iron to 12 feet. 13 was a 350 yard par 4, which was a 2 iron and a 9 iron to about a foot. 15 was a 560 yard par 5 with a driver in a bunker, 4 iron into the semi, gap wedge to 8 feet and a putt.
