Watching play-by-play online... Ernie has a 75-foot birdie putt on the final hole. Five putts or fewer for the win.

Update : Right after I submit that, he lags it to within 3 feet. I'm going to go out on a limb and say he wins.

Host and house-guest no less!

Just read that Ernie is now the European Tour's all time money leader with his WGC paycheck. I think this is only among members (there's a certain non-member who might be ahead, and famously didn't win the order of merit for lack of membership, but never joined as a member.)

Another tournament were the Americans were not among the best. Kucher was the only one on the leader board. The US lacks young players with with much personallity which I think they need. Of course AK is and exception. Hunter Mahan is another. My .02 anyway.

Impressive win, hopefully Els can keep it up.

Did anyone else notice, on one of the last holes, Charl Schwartzel put a drive into the right rough, only for some daft woman to make a beeline for the ball the moment she saw it.You could almost see her eyes light up as it bounced past her 'Ooh!I'll take that'.She literally ran for it and bent over to pick it up only for her husband/boyfriend/friend to drag her back by the arm.. at which point she fell over.. and then pushed him back, presumably for making her fall over.. The whole thing was bizarre and comical. You can imagine the 'What the f*** are you doing' she got from that bloke.Surely anyone who attends a golf tournament understands that you don't try and take a player's ball that's in play.

Incidentally, if she had picked it up and put it in her pocket, what would have happened?Could Schwartel have gotten it back from her and just dropped it roughly where it landed?

A great shot is when you go for it and pull it off. A smart shot is when you don't have the guts to try it. ~ Phil Mickelson.

I enjoyed the coverage. I thought that was hilarious. I told my wife right after that, when we go to a PGA tour event and you see a ball bouncing, don't pick it up. I thought Ernie's play was impressive and there was some real quality golf being played. I am surprised we didn't see Quiros hit one drive?? You know we all want to see that. He is the longest player on any tour and all I saw was a couple putts. Lame. But overall, it was enjoyable.
