The Florida swing continues as they head north towards the years first major. I have a feeling Bay Hill is going to be a great tourney.

Who do you guys think will step up and hold the trophy on Sunday? I'm going to say Phil will be in contention but I still don't see him winning. I'd also like to see David Duval play well. I'm going to step out on a limb and say..............Sean O'Hair. As always I'd like to see Zach Johnson win, ha.

I went to this tourney last year , walked 3 days and watched many players and I'd say Kenny Perry . He played this course good and is set's up well to his draw. With the exception of I think 2 - 3 bad shot's last year he would have been right there on Sunday.

Goosen. He is getting his game back and has four top-six finishes in six starts this season, including a solo fifth last week. Currently fifth on TOUR in birdies or better on par 5s. Sean O'Hair has had good success at Bay Hill in recent years and he has a good chance. I personally would like to see someone like Camillo do well, he is very exciting to watch.

Great to see Els throwing up a 68 today. He's playing and putting well and is my pick to win the Masters. This week watch Els, Fowler, Allenby, Holmes, Stricker, Stenson and Mickleson.

Phil's eagle today was cool.
Ernie's climb to the top of the leaderboard was impressive.
Happy to see Love back in the hunt.

Was a great day, there was some really good gold played today. Mickelson had a much better round than I expected, and his eagle was really nice. I'd really like to see him win this weekend, and have some momentum going into the Masters.

I'd love to see a Mickelson-Woods pairing on Sunday at the Masters for the win.

How about Arnold Palmer in the booth for the afternoon! I'll have to watch the evening showing to listen again. Only caught a couple stories and bits of info he shared. Thanks to Arnie for sticking around!

Arnie joked at one point about how he'd had "a shot and a beer at lunch"

. I hope he really did. Totally unrelated, but for some reason Ernie Els is annoying the hell out of me tonight. I root for Ernie (he's on my fantasy roster) but his ass-waggling perfect-posture pre-shot routine is irritating...looks so rigid and mechnical. I'm glad he got a win this year, and I envy his swing, but why can't he just look comfortable over the ball?

Yeah, he totally undercover burped. I saw that. I can see him taking a shot of whiskey before a beer with lunch. That would make me burp too!

He'd mentioned in his after round interview that he's been working hard on his game. I'm sure building conifdence in a solid pre-shot routine is part of that work. I didn't pay too close attention to his swing today. But I always kinda thought he had a wiggle [like what you've described] to his routine in the past. He's always been a big favorite of mine. I"m glad to see him doing well too.

Anyone hear Arnold jokingly say that J.B. Holmes should shave?

He then said hats off going into the clubhouse and to have a clean shaven face.
Arnie joked at one point about how he'd had "a shot and a beer at lunch"

He's definitely not worse than Furyk.

Yeah, if your standard putting routine is to: read the putt, have your caddy read the putt, read the putt again, make several practice strokes, address the ball, then back off and read the putt again...that has to be rough on your playing partners.

Did Arnold Palmer have a John Daly yesterday before he went into the booth?

With all the new changes Arnie made to the Course, Ima have to call EA Sports to redo Bay Hill on my Tiger Woods Golf Game like the GPS guys . Greens are totally different.

Arnie is great! He told a good story Thursday when he was in the booth. Said when he was 16 he was running late to a tournament and wrecked his Dads car. He was paired with some big names at the time and missed the cut. Better story when he told it, but thought I'd relay it.

Anyone hear Arnold jokingly say that J.B. Holmes should shave?

I caught that. He's old school for sure, but whatever Arnie says I'd comply. I have a lot of respect for the guy. My favorite golfer of all time and a great man to boot.

On a side note. You can really tell how much he loves working with his grandson Sam. That young man will help Arnie stay young.

    • Ok, I'm trying to find a feel to hit a consistent ball flight (irons).  My current predicament.  1. I try to do the arms down stuff better, with the club feeling like it is way behind me more. It's just a cluster of results. Most of the time, I can't get any speed on the swing. If I get my arms down faster, I just throw them out.  2. I focus all my attention on turning better. Pushing off with my left leg and getting my right side through better. On the DTL view, this doesn't produce anywhere close where the hands and club should be. The result is usually ball first contact, lower ball flight, more centered contact.  At this point, I am going with option 2. Stop thinking about what the hands do. Just make a shorter backswing, keep it wide, turn through. Somehow, the club head finds the ball. My focus is so much on just making sure I turn, it's like, "Oh, that contact was better.... Oh, that bell flight looks playable." If not, I will just be practicing my entire summer.
    • Nope, they spent too much money. They are in over 28 million on the football roster and related NIL compensation at this point. Boosters associated with any Texas college football team has HUGE sway. The AD is between a rock and a hard place. They put a lot of money into Sorsby, at the chance of winning a NC this year. If you move on, you basically wasted a lot.  This is why Ohio State wants 3 QB's they feel can start. That is why the backups the past 5 years at some point transfer. Texas Tech has no backup near the quality of Sorsby. If they move on, they are screwed for 2026.
    • Maybe there's something I still don't understand about the situation. Wouldn't Texas Tech do itself a favor to move on from Sorsby at this point?
    • Day 281 6-10 Full swing, fast, getting low point ahead of "towel".  Working on flow during this seems to help.
