I just bought a new putter this year. Last year my putting didnt seem to improve at all. So last week I bought a TaylorMade itsy bitsy Spider. I carried it for my first round wednesday and shot a 86. I realize that is above my index but I know for a fact that I hit at least three putts I wouldnt have had a prayer at.

Honestly, this putter make you feel like you can putt blindfolded.

Has anyone else had this experience with a new putter....or club for that matter

Yeah, I had that same experience when I quit using my Itsy Bitsy Spider and swapped to my Cleveland Classic putter........... I hated that putter, no feel at all, and for being so big, it's too light for me.

The other club I recently had that experience with was my Cleveland Niblick. It was so easy to get close to the hole in order to one putt, I'm sure it will drop my handicap as soon as I post my recent scores. Shot a 87 today, one of my best rounds ever, so I'm really happy with that club, no matter how ugly it is.

My index went down 2 strokes after I purchased my Scotty California. I feel much more confident with it and I can control my distance. Makes lag putting much easier.

I actually think it's more mental with putters. Every new one I get I'll love for half a season, & then learn to hate. I'll then dig an old one out of the basement and putt lights out wondering why I switched. I'm thinking for me it's not necessarily the new club, but the fact that one tends to practice a lot with that new club at first. I need to keep practicing my putting consistently i think!

I always carried cheap blade putters (under $50) until I bought the Itsy Bitsy Spider last year. I was rolling putts a lot better with it as I generally putt with a straight back and forth motion. I just put on a jumbo Winn grip this year and my putting has improved dramatically.

For me, the transition to 2-Ball style putters from the Newport-style putter has easily probably taken 2-3 strokes off of my game. It feels like I miss a lot fewer 5 footers now.

When I was deciding last year, between the Rossa Spider, and the Ping Anser 4 I really liked the spider, but it did feel a little light for being so big, but it really made me feel like I was putting in the perfect arc.

I switched from a mallet-style Nike Ignite putter to an older Anser that used to be my grandfathers, and noticed a difference immediately. I love the traditional look, the sound, the feel going back and through, and I feel like I can control distance better.

I improved when I switched to the Scotty Cameron Bullseye. The feedback and feel are what helped improved my stroke.

I have 2 other Scotty Cameron Putters (Studio Stainless and Studio Select Newport 2) but the feel is muted when compared to the blade.

Yep, Odyssey Sabertooth helped me quite a bit. I think it was a combination of the putter being very forgiving which helps the putts get better, and the fact that I have confidence in it, which makes my stroke better.
