I have crome wedges at the moment, but my next set will definatly not be. I keep getting blinded by the sun. Living in Australia its noramally pretty sunny.

Does anyone notice a difference in sound and feel with the oil-can finish? It seems like it clicks a lot, even for a Titleist forging. I've got an old Vokey 200 52* in oil-can that I picked up for a few bucks used that I've been trying out. It's definitely more clicky that my CG10s or even the mizuno MP-Rs. I found this to be the case on some Titleist blades I tried. Is that typically the case for most Titleist irons?

Vokey wedges are not forgings.

I have noticed a difference in feel and sound too when the treatment wears off of the oil can finish and the playing surface becomes a little more raw.

And the oil cans are really raw wedges, IMO. But, you can never get the hitting areas on those things to rust over like they are supposed to if you play or practice with any measure. The grooves wear down much more quickly than the tour chrome style as well. Ive had my 200series 48 wedge for over a year now and it still looks brand new with only a few common knicks on the face and sole. If where an oil can it would probably be blasted by now...

There, I corrected that for you. The oil can finish does nothing -

nothing - to affect feel or sound.
But, you can never get the hitting areas on those things to rust over like they are supposed to if you play or practice with any measure.

They are not "supposed" to rust over. Rust does nothing for you (except eat away at your wedge). The whole point of "oil can" is simply to reduce glare.

I have the tour chrome and love them. The oil can almost looks rusty to me...You should see which you feel more confident standing over and go with it!

      Have posted in a while or practiced for that matter. Dealing with a few medical issues. But I was able to practice and film today. I’ve played 5 times this year. Misses have been pulls or heavy shots. I feel this has a lot to do with my lower back issues. When I feel good, I get good rotation and I hit the ball well. Today I felt good. Hips and lower back felt nice and flexible. I worked mainly on the hands feeling from the top. The club head should feel like it’s going down and away from the ball and target at the start of the downswing. The right knee should stay a little flexed at the top. These are the only swing thoughts other than high hands (arms going up) I’ve been focused on. I did PW, 6 iron and Driver today. Here is PW. The hands look better as does the knee in the rehearsal. The knee gets more straight in the actual swing.   My left arm is not straight at impact, which it has never really been. But that’s not the focus of this practice.   6 iron looks better than last time. Driver also looks better than last time. Playing tomorrow. Hopefully my body will cooperate.

      The way to practice this is not at full speed, even if you do manage to "change" something. But no, not quite like that. That's a late lift, but you still have the early roll, and you stand up too much in that swing (likely in trying to "lift" — the "lift" is relative to your torso, not the ground).
