Aren't the tri-speeds reallly soft, compression-wise?!?!?

In the past, when I've played softer balls...I tend to get a balloon effect on shots with hybrids and woods. They are great balls to putt, though.

Id give the Srixon Trispeed Tours a go
They have the most spin of any ball in the 30 dollar range ive tried. I havent played the discounted TaylorMade TP Blacks though

The Srixons have better spin and similar feel and distance with the NXT Tours in my experience.

IF you ask me, the best balls in the 30 dollar range are

1. Srixon Trispeed Tour
2. NXT Tour
3. Bridgestone E6
3b. Nike ONE Vapors

Also, if you want to pony up the 35 dollars, you could get the Titleist ProV1 practice balls. Their just as good as the real ones with minor cosmetic blemishes AND 10 dollars less. Just a thought

If you can find them, try the Wilson Staff Zip. They were discontinued for this year. Their 2010 ball is C:25. According to my Wilson Rep,same ball new name. After not playing for 5 years,I tried every ball I could get my hands on last year. The only ball I liked as well as the Zip,was Bridgestone 330 RX. The good news is the Zip is about half the price as the Bridgestone!

    • The MTB Prime and Prime X had issues with the cover being too soft and getting cut too easily. They said it was more prevalent in the Prime than the Prime X which I found odd because that was the exact opposite of my experience.
    • Day 120 - Played 18; much better than yesterday. Miss right now is off the heel of the club, so I need to sort that out.
    • Today we played Pease Golf Course in Portsmouth, NH. Course was in great shape but my game didn't show up. I will say I pitched and chipped fairly well but almost everything else was very hit or miss. Cost myself a lot hitting an in play drive with pulling my approach shots maybe 85% of the time. Finally figured out I had been swaying most of the round. Only took me until 13 to figure it out. Used what felt like a much more centered turn and the ballstriking improved. 18 tomorrow using a 2 man scramble format. Just looking to contribute. Been a blast though.
