... yes I'm bitter Argentina deserved to win the game, but with the own goal (which Sung Ryong should have stopped) and the second goal as well which should also have been stopped... it could have at least been a closer game in score... differential does count a win against Nigeria will guarantee moving on, a tie... we'll have to wait and see

not me brazil were the better team.

Korea held on well but brazil were always going to break them down. Mexico getting some revenge for ireland. I'll be supporting them! They've got the same kit too!

its actually quite funny how bad France are, theyve got some aweome players but they cant play with each other. Anyway we play tomorrow and im expecting a comfortable win (although i was expecting that last week)

Someone was apparently offside. I can't say who, because the play sure looked legit to me (except for a Slovenian defender giving Michael Bradley a bear hug in the middle of the crowd, which wasn't called, either).

Regardless, the mission is clear for the US team: rack up goals against Algeria next Wednesday. Win and the Americans are most certainly in (barring a strange tiebreaker if all three teams atop the group table finish 1-1-1).

Bradley got tackled, he was the only one elgible, so how was it offsides?!!!!!! Horrendus call! But if England beats Slovenia and we take care of bussiness vs Algeria, then we are in.

I have to correct myself. The United States, England, and Slovenia would be at the mercy of tiebreakers if they all finish 1-2-0. England beats Algeria, United States beats Algeria, England ties Slovenia, and all hell breaks loose.

      I know one recent college grad who's trying the same thing.  This guy was a Division III All-American, went on to play one year at Division I LSU, and is not working hard.  He won the Gulf States Open, a pro event, and made it to the second stage of the Korn Ferry Tour School late in the fall.  And didn't make the cut to get to the final stage.  I won't talk about swing or play stuff, but I believe there are a couple of things that are essential.  Obviously, talent, and drive, or work ethic.   I can't tell you how to do it, but you HAVE to get through it.  Golf is going to be your life, and it takes lots of work. Two more things that are really critical.  You'll need the facility to be able to practice.  My young friend stayed in Baton Rouge, as a past player on the team he can still use the LSU practice facilities.  And money.  Its unlikely you'll be able to work a full-time job and practice the way you will need to.  You'll probably need backing, from a parent, from a consortium of friends or club members., something to support you. Good luck, its not an easy path, but anything is possible.  Another young man from our area, Mike Brennan, just won for the first time on the "big" PGA Tour.

      Get more comfortable with being uncomfortable. If you don’t like practicing then give up now. You don’t have the passion to become a pro. Unless that mentality changes you won’t do well under stressful situations.    Call the PGA Tour and ask. They probably have resources available.
