I just ordered Nickent 4DX CB tour irons. Probably just a pang of buyers remorse, but wasthis a bad move?

No way. Nickent made GREAT clubs. They went out of business mainly for overspending. They also put all their eggs in one basket so to say, by investing in interchangable shaft technology that didn't take off. But for their peak years their clubs were as good as anyones and can be found for a steal.

I love Nickent stuff, and own a bunch myself

I didn't have any clue why they went out of business but, I always liked the look of their products. I ordered them on the Internet based on an old memory of a demo day. The prices on these sets just fit my budget now.

Not a mistake at all. Nickent made great clubs and the fact that they are no longer in business doesnt change that fact.

No they are great clubs.

I herd the reason they went out of biz, is because when they first came out they just gave all there clubs away to new proffesionals on the tour and they also just over spent in shaft tec ect. By the way, I got told this from a mate I know who used to play there gear on tour.

By far there is no other hybrid easier to hit that Nickents'. I do not know about their irons though.

I found my Wilson Fybrids and the Taylor made rescue clubs both easier to hit than the Nickents.

I found them on the Internet. Dallas Golf and Amazon have some left.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. I just worried because it has been a long time since I had even seen a set in person. I ordered by memory and my memory ain't so good. They shipped the clubs today and I will update as soon as I use them.

More Nickent love here. I regret not getting an Evolver when I was shopping for Drivers a few months ago.

Nickent Driver, hybrids and irons here.

I'm a little upset though, I broke the head right off the shaft of my 3 hybrid a few weeks ago. A few of the ferrules are a little loose too, other than that, love the clubs.
