I would putt. If they allow chipping, I would do that too.

Some chips and pitches, besides warming you up, get you used to impact with quarter and half swings.

Focus, connect and follow through!

The real question for me is how many shots are required to warm up adequately/fully.

Last day I was on the course I did no warm up, pushed my 3I and my 8I approach. But by the time I took the driver off the second tee things were flowing and I didn't look back.

So you would not need to spend long at the range to get going in my view and you could divide that 30 minutes between range and putting green.

The green is important for two reasons. To identify the pace of the green and to settle down into your putting rhythm.

But my main point and I wonder if anyone will dispute it, is that it does not take many shots to warm up the long game at all.

Me, I'd hit the range. One to loosen up and get the ole tuning fork going lol, trying to do some quick putting warm up on a very nice practice green usually doesn't help me since the greens on the course usually aren't as well kept.

Prefer pitching/chipping/putting so I can see how the greens will react. I can warm up at the tee box by swinging the clubs around.

The range for me, I always have to hit some balls to get started and a feel of the swing.
