Just starting a thread on this since the tournament will start in an hour or so.

Els the favorite to win but hard not to pick Mahan with such a good track record in the recent past over here.

Probably go up Friday, only 15 minutes from home. Been going since it was in Wethersfild, always a goodtime.

The field's probably a bit weaker in Hartford than in years past. Fewer players were likely willing to make the cross-country trip from Monterey than, say, a hop over Long Island Sound from Bethpage.

Els is playing in Munich at the BMW guys. He shot 70 yesterday.

Justin Rose is swinging so good now and the putter is working well, hopefully close to his 2007 form again. Very talented player on his day.
