What shoes do you wear? What shoes do you recommend?

I just posted my review of some Bite shoes I tested, and I like the 2607c. My previous shoes were some sneaker-like ones from FootJoy.

I'm looking for comfort and a fairly classic style (or sneaker-like stuff, but not ghetto sneaker types, more tennis/country club sneaker type). I've heard Nike shoes are bad. I'll be reviewing (I think) the new Adidas shoes soon. I've always worn FootJoy, primarily, but had some Dexters for a year once a decade or so ago.

I wear Footjoy Dry Joy PRO. All Black and love them. I prefer the classic looks of footjoy. I am looking for another pair of shoes and am going with the Footjoy Classics line. Awsome shoes!!!!!!!

You're going to get a different opinion from me on the Dry Joy Pro. I've worn FJ shoes ever since I started golfing. These are hands down the worst shoes I've ever worn. The first thing that happened to me was that my back started killing me. The heels were so high I felt like I had to bend over farther to hit my irons. I could hardly hit anything correctly with them on.

I tried to give them a couple of months to break in but it was no better. After 2 months the shoes started to irritate the tops of my toes to the point that I'd get blisters. And the final straw, when my feet would get moist the black ink on the inside of the shoes ran and turned several of my socks black.

The only positive to the story is that FJ's service was great. I called them up and gave them my issues over the phone. They didn't even ask me for a receipt and sent me replacements for free. I then took them down to the local pro shop and traded them in for some green joys. Those are the cheapest shoes they make. The green joys at around $50 are the most comfortable and breathable shoes I've worn.

FJ did not lose me as a customer.

The only problem I have had with mine is the black running and turning my socks black, so i started wearing black socks with them. In my opinion the shoes are awsome. I have not had any physical problems from them. I think that shoes are like anything else personal preference. I love mine and will get another pair when I wear these out. I have had them for well over 10 months. They are great. I am looking forward to my new Classic tours.

What shoes do you wear? What shoes do you recommend?

I've got a few, but my favorites any time I have to walk are these: Nike SP-6, sharp looking and really comfortable.

I bought the Nike SP-5 last Spring and it is the best shoe I have ever owned. I walk and carry my bag 90% of the time and they came out of the box as comfortable as they are today. I will absolutely buy another pair when the time comes. I have always worn a tennis shoe style, but I am lucky enough to have clients that take me to their country clubs and I needed something that looks good with a pair of nice pants as well as shorts. The entire SP line fits that to a T.

I have always worn a Footjoys Dry-Joys and found them to be very comfortable. However, many shoes don't fit right bec. they aren't made wide enough. I also carry and always make sure that the shoes I purchase have some sort of water protection.

I actually think all golf shoes are VERY uncomfortable. That's why I play in tennis shoes or Birkenstock sandles. The only kind of shoe that I've found close to comfortable are the tennis shoe style.

I have always worn tennis shoes as well just like muda above me stated. I just feel more comfortable for the most part.

But lately, I have noticed my feet slipping slightly while hitting an iron shot. So I am about to break down and go buy some golf shoes. I'm glad I came here because I will have something to go by now.

My best friend has the all black footjoys and he loves them. I'm much more of a white and brown golf shoe kind of guy myself.

TaylorMadeFan, how much do those that you showed a picture of cost? Those are pretty sweet in my opinion. I need to buy some of those.

$109 from TGW . You may want to ask Ben in the "What do you need?" thread. We just reviewed some Bite shoes too - you may want to take a look at those. The brown/white models I got are very comfortable.
