Well i recently hit the 909dcomp and 909d3 drivers that i really liked em but theres no way i can afford those. So i went searching for titleist older model drivers that wear similar to the specs of those and through my search found the 975j driver the specs i like and reviews are through the roof, so went searching on ebay.. and guess what, picked one up in amazing condition for how old the make is, for 30 bucks!!! It's exact to my specs, i need the 9.5, the mid to low launch head with minimal spin equipped with a stiff shaft that is mid to low launch with minimal spin, almost like this ad was made for me . Cant wait for it to get here.

Nice Buy, I don,t know how that one slipped by everybody. Thats the way to buy golf stuff now days. Wait a year or two and they are a fraction of the cost of when they were new. I,ve hit the 975s and they are a very nice driver. It should last you for many years.

Congratulations on your find! The 975 was the driver everyone wanted when Titleist introduced it, and I still think it's right up there with the PT series as one of the best metal woods they've ever made.

Yeah I bought a 909D3 used for $130 and took the stock shaft out and put in a UST proforce v2 76X. Total expense was $210 including installing fees. Better than buying new with a UST which would cost me around $330

Not too many people here still play that old of a club. I have (and loved) a 975D with the original UST proforce shaft. The 975J was a good head.

I have the 975d, and love it, I'll still occasionally bring it to the range to hit a few.

BTW, the 975j is a much smaller head than the 909 series.

i know its abot a 312cc head, which i like even more.. i prefer a small club head, which is why lately ive been teeing off with my 3 wood.

I had a 975D back in about 1996 or 1997. Great driver, but technology keeps moving forward and I sold it when the next big thing came along, which for me was the Ping TiSi with the draw inducing hosel. As I recall Tiger, Davis Love III, and David Duval were using its cousin-the 975J.

just got this today, went to the range, and man i love it, was flying dead straight most of the time with perfect trajectory and was hitting it further than any driver ive owned. LOVE IT.
