last season my buddy went into PIAS and they had a set of TaylorMade R7 irons. If you agreed to purchase an item, they let you pull a golf ball out of a container. Whatever % you pulled you got off one item. He pulled 75% off. (the guy said there was only 1 75% off ball and he got it). He got the entire set (very nice condition, lightly played) for $75.

I was given a Scotty Cameron X-prototype by a nationwide player a a little over a year ago. The club was his primary gamer for years, so its not mint by any means. But i got it 4 FREE BABY! Ironically, the headcover (which he never used) is worth more than the actual putter..lol.

Perhaps not as mind-blowing, but I found a B3 at the smaller PIAS in my area and was overjoyed. It was still in great (light marks on the face, but who cares?) condition, with decent looking Winn grips, and only $25 versus the $80+tax it would've cost me new. I wasn't sold on it when I was looking at it new, but for $25, I had to give it a shot.

What's in my Tartan Precise TS-869 Bag:
Woods: Northwestern 1W, 3W, stock grip
Hybrids: 855 Graphite shaft 3H, 4H, Golf Pride Tour Wrap midsize grips
Irons: 855 R flex steel shaft 5-PW, Golf Pride Tour Wrap midsize grips
Wedges: PureSpin Tour Series Diamond Face 52* AW, 56* SW, 60* LW, Golf Pride...

I got in on that deal too. As did 6000+ other people before they changed the price. I got an email this morning saying they cancelled my order because it was a pricing mistake. Your friend is not going to get R9 TPs for $112. It's a bummer but it happens a lot with online pricing.

In the blue Colts bag:

Driver - FT-5 10°
Hybrids - 4DX 15.5°, 20°
Irons/Wedges - CI-7 4-GW, SW | "Free" Warrior 60° LWPutter - TiffanyBalls - various

    • No. If there was a place no closer to the hole that afforded some relief, you could have dropped there. If you were truly as far away from the hole as you could, in the "back" of the bunker, then… your options were basically to play it as it lies (lied? lay?) or take the penalty stroke and drop behind the bunker (keeping the point where the ball was between your drop and the hole).
    • Day 121 - Had a tournament today, not my best. I was hitting everything off the heel.
    • Day 4 (5 May 24) - mirror work focused on “feel of weight” transfer onto lead foot.  Continued work to develop trust in lead foot being able to handle full weight pressure…
    • Ok, so I’m still confused here. Are you saying I could have used the only available Spot in the bunker even though it was 6-7 feet closer to the hole?
    • Yes. If you choose to take the ball out of the bunker instead of taking maximum available relief… it costs a stroke.
