I'd take the Vokey 48, a true PW, likely more spin from the Vokey.

i personally prefer a wedge pw, and not an iron pw so i game a cleveland cg10 46*(bent to 47). the reason i like it is for the short game. i feel if i can generate more spin and i like the touch and feel i get with it around greens. on full shots i notice that the wedge style pw spins a tad more, therefore its not as long(maybe 5yards tops). either way its all about personal preference, if you use your pw alot on full shots you may like the iron style wedge more, but i use my pw more for the short game and that's why i like the wedge style pw.

Pfff ..... just what you like best !

If your 690 CB has a stiff shaft, there might be a little more feel in the wedgeflex Vokey .....

I love vokeys.

I'd say they'd be both good wedges though.

Personally, I prefer the PW to be from the iron set. Mostly because of the symmetry to the other irons. I don't ever use a PW from anywhere other than approach shots so I want it to be as close to the other irons as I can. I would have a GW the same as the other irons also if it was possible. I like the versatility of aftermarket wedges for a variety of shots, but for full/partial shots from the fairway I like the consistency.

I will judge my rounds much more by the quality of my best shots than the acceptability of my worse ones.

agreed....

I was looking at a set of 735.cm's that were mint but it was only 4-9 i could have bought a vok's to go w it, but i too prefer the Pw from the set the PW is one of my fav clubs

Try them both out and see which one works best?

Might depend on whether you use the PW as more of a wedge, or as more of a 10-iron (full shots).

what's the bounce angle difference? Perhaps that will help you decide. I recently took out my set PW and had a 48* Vokey bent to a 46*. I think the bounce angle is too low (6*) for my full swing approach shots. It's great around the green for chipping and for pitching.... but it doesnt seem to perform as well on full swing shots as my set PW.

agreed....

I agree...and play the 735 pw which is forged and I can hit a lot of shots with it my favorite being the 3/4 knock down. I also have Vokey 54/60 and would love to see a forged Titleist wedge offering.

you know, I have been down that foged wedge road before, and i prefer these vokey's over them all

its a tad harder, but will last longer im on my 2nd set of wedges this year already - hoping the vok's last a little longer

    • Day 33 (13 Dec 25) - Worked on weight shift and resetting the left heel during downswing (after listening to a discussion on Golf School this morning on PGA Tour Radio).  It centered on how Jack Nicklaus lifted his lead heel and how long driver champs do as well.  Taking cues from that discussion, worked an exaggerated feel of the left heel working doing some swing drill in the backyard using the 7i.  Wrapped up the session by hitting a few low bump and run shots in the backyard - keeping the process slow and exaggerated.

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
