Looking into finding a little bit cheaper of a ball but really love the soft feel that the ProV's have off the putter face. Any of the other "tour" balls have that kind of feel? Srixon? I really wanna try their yellow's but have never had the opportunity to try them. Putted with a few Srixon soft feels once..they were a little bit harder off the putter than the ProV's..

Have some DT So/Lo balls, too. They definitely don't putt like the ProV's, lol.

use the search function homey...there are literally thousands of threads on balls
general consensus - u want the pro v performance, buy the pro v
there is a reason they are the number # 1 and EVERYBODY compares to that ball

I recently switched to the Srixon Trispeeds and they have serious feel off the putter. Cheaper too, around $29

well thanks for not answering my question at all :) I used the search function and didn't really see anything that was what I was looking for.

I know there are literally thousands of threads on balls..I read through them. What I asked was what other tour caliber balls that are cheaper than ProV's have the same soft feel off the putter face. Its nothing to do with Pro V performance or anything else.

the answer is no then

your asking for tour caliber performance similar to a pro v, but in a "cheap" ball...IMO there isnt one this coming from a guy that doesnt even play the pro v

*sigh*..I didn't ask for a cheap ball. I asked about "cheaper than pro V's". Apparently there are several...because some people answered the question

Anyway, I think I'll start experimenting with the Srixon line as that seems to be the biggest choice. I played a "found" e6+ once, but couldn't tell ya how it felt. The bonus for Srixon is that I can also try out their yellow's in the the tour balls they carry.

Callaway HX-Hot and HX-Hot Bite are great balls. The HX-Hot is one of the best balls I've ever played, it's got one of the best feels off the putter, and maintains the firmer feel of the ProV1.

And that reason is an outstanding marketing team.

If he knew you were going to meticulously analyse the laguage used in his post, he would have added the 'er' on the end if that's what does it for ya.

What I Play:

If I knew he would continue to not post anything of relevance towards what I was asking, I wouldn't have responded in the first place. Is it so hard to grasp that I didn't ask about "cheap balls" I asked for a ball that had the same feel off the putter face that wasn't 45 a dozen..nothing more, nothing less.

I thought the Pentas were cheaper? I play the Callaway Tour i(s), and I would recommend it, but I believe it's the same price as the ProV1s.

Semi-related note: I had been playing a lot of found, cheap balls lately during my practice rounds. I went about 2 weeks without hitting a Tour i(s). Last week I put it back into play and found that by far the biggest difference was on the greens. Not around the greens; on the greens. I had no idea until last week that a quality ball would make that big of a difference in putting and had never read about it. I had considered switching to a less-expensive Nike Tour One ball, but not anymore.

thats why I ask...I can get just about any ball to stop relatively quickly(maybe not spin back or stop on a dime..but stop without rolling out a ton) but when it comes time for putting, I am thrown all off when I hit those balls that 'click' off the face and just seem like rocks.
