What sunglasses do need to have for golfing?
Or do you prefer not to use them???
Feedbacks please!!

When I do wear them, I have Tifosi Ventoux sunglasses. Tifosi has great optics, comes with 3 lenses, and cost about $60.

I wear Oakley M Frames with a golf specific frame. I wear contacts and prefer to wear sunglasses on the course, I will wear them even on overcast days.

Yeah, wanna make 14 dollars the hard way?

Can someone explain the advantage of golf-specific lenses? What do they do that is specific to golf?

I bought some Callaway shades this year. The only reason I got them was because I like they way the look. (i have a narrow face and most sunglass look too big on me). Anyways.....Callaway has what they call Neox lense technology. I have no idea if this is true or not....but they claim this technology reduces glare and gives a more natural view - and this lense technology does not interfer with depth perception, as most polarized lenses apparently do. Again...no idea if that is true or not...probably just a marketing gimick.

But I will say that the Neox lense does give a very different view. While most sunglasses make your view appear darker, these sunglass do not. I can't explain it...but...it looks like I'm not wearing sunglass, yet I'm not squinting from the light. It's very weird, actually.

I wear progressive lenses all the time and even with Transitions they don't get dark enough for 4 1/2 hours on the golf course.....so this year I bought prescription sunglasses for golf and other outside activities, like driving my Miata with the top down......Wyley X is the frame. They are also available without prescription lenses....

I absolutely love them....I have the bronze lenses

They are spot on clear and keep the bright sun from entering behind the lenses when you are on the Tee.

I started wearing "Boston Bills" when running because I didn't want to spend a ton. They are a small company that sells glasses for $30 and have a small underground following in the running/tri community. They work great for golf too...

I started wearing Costa Del Mar's for fishing (specifically the Stringers with the 530 lenses). They are pricy ($189), but they are the AWESOME. I am on the same pair I bought 4 years ago. I broke the temple, sent them in and for a $10 processing free they put my lenses in a new frame. I have worn Ray Bans, Oakley's, Maui Jim, Revo and Bolle...I would consider these the best sporting glasses out there.
If you dont like the shape, they make 50 or so styles with the ability to get different color lenses.

I will say if i am golfing for 4 hours or spending 3 days out on the ocean for fishing tourney, my eyes never hurt afterwards!!! I will wear NOTHING ELSE!

I bought a pair of POLARIZED sunglasses at WalMart. Under $15. In the fishing section. I wear them all the time on the course.

Polarized -It's necessary. I know an eye surgeon. You'll NEVER see him outside without sunglasses on.
