Golf sandals are pretty sweet. I wear mine with dark socks...

I'll chime in here with a question. I want a pair of sandals for the range which I try to go to every other day. Today I was at Golfsmith and tried on the Snake Eyes and the Footjoy sandals. I found the Snake Eyes to be very uncomfortable. While the Footjoys were great they seem to lack a spike in the toe region. Has anyone with FJ sandals felt off balance without that extra spike near the toe? Perhaps it is unnoticeable once you are on grass.

Never been an issue for me. I've never even noticed whether there was one there or not. I just know that I've never had any problem with slipping or any balance issues that could be attributed to the sandals.

I don't find them uncomfortable when wet... certainly not as uncomfortable as wet shoes and socks. And the smell is a neoprene thing... wetsuits have the same problem when they get sweaty. I toss my FJ Sandals in the washer on gentle cycle with no spin and that takes care of it.

I guess I've never noticed my socks ever getting wet while wearing my golf shoes. But I would imagine that would be very uncomfortable.

Thanks for the tip on cleaning them in the washer, I might try them. Cause last time I just cleaned them in a bucket of soapy water and it never completely took the wet dog/sweat smell out of them. As far as the posts about support...I also wear Nike Heritage shoes when I walk 18 holes and I've never noticed a support difference between the Sandals vs regular shoes. Scores are the same. I love me my FJ golf sandals.  Can't wait until the weather is hot enough to break them out again this year!

    • I like Justin Rose and I wouldn’t mind seeing him win another major, I just didn’t want him to win this one 😃
    • I think Rose might have the most zeroed out putting stroke of anyone out there, although as golfing superpowers go that would be one of the most useless.
    • That pre-swing routine tho.. 🤓
    • He's been a top 100 golfer for almost his entire career, yeah. That's not easy to do, especially as you get into your 40s. And, all without any real "superpowers." He's not incredibly great at any one thing. He's very well rounded.
    • Always been a fan of Rose. He seems like a decent human being first of all. When there's some chatter at the tee he says "Quiet guys, please. Thank you" in a friendly tone. He's always given the impression of being a stand-up guy, supportive of his colleagues and competitors. A friendly face. His performance as a golfer is more about consistency through his entire career than the large number of wins. He's always around, but had the potential to win more. This Masters they made a point out of him having almost twice as many lead/co-lead rounds without a win than the next guy on the list. 11 wins on the PGA Tour, 11 on the European Tour and the single major, but a lot of top ten finishes. Erik's comparison to Adam Scott is on point, as the stats demonstrates in the images below. Starting their careers during the reign of Tiger didn't make things easier, but there are few players with more than 15 wins on the PGAT the last ~30 years. I only counted eight from this list. I'd love to see him win at Augusta. Rory is one of very few players I'd pick over Rose.
