I feel like crap because I didn't hit my PW 150 yards today.

Anybody have some Jack Daniels and some sleeping pills? Please!?!?! Save me from the hell that is this life.

While I'm at it -

Iron distances aren't terribly important, and don't have a ton of correlation to how good a player you are. If you pull a 9iron at the 150 marker and hit a miss that shortsides you or goes over the green, you aren't better than someone who needs to pull a 5 iron and knocks it stone dead.

Reminds me of retards who think that hitting a shorter club than other guys in their foursome means they have bigger nuts than the other guys. Usually, that guy is the 'stud' who can't hit a drive more than 225 unless it's a mile into the woods and who regularly shoots in the 90's even though he feels like he's "so close".

That's why golf is so great - any any given point, you can potentially hit a shot that the best pro could not do better.

I've always said these are the shots that make you come back to the course. I think everyone hits that one good shot even on their worst days. I had a day once where I was just playing flat out awful, I didn't even look like a duffer I was playing so bad, but then I holed one out from a greenside bunker on a severely sloping green... those shots make me come back all the time no matter how frustrated I get.

Callaway XR 9.5 + 1, Taylormade R15 3 Wood, Burner 3 Rescue, Callaway XHot 5H, Warbird 4H, Nike Vapor Fly 6-AW Irons, Titleist Vokey 54, 60 Wedges, Taylormade Rossa Fontana Putter, Srixon Z-Star Tour Yellow.

Best Score 2017:  82 (Traditions at the Glen, Par 70)

Favorite Course - Conklin Players Club (Par 72) - Best Score 86

Does this say anything about my potential as a golfer, or is everyone this way? Are your good shots literally as good as the pros? As long, as well-shaped, as much spin?

I remember one of the Golf Channel personalities telling us several years ago about playing a round with Steve Flesch. He said, "I'm a 6-handicapper, and I hit good shots, but my good shots are nowhere near as good as Steve Flesch's good shots."

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
