Is the regular R9 a lot less forgiving compared to the 460? I'm planning on getting an R9, since the price is falling on them. If the R9 is less forgiving what is the benefit of it compared to the 460?

I think the r9 has a 420 head and the 460 has a 460 head, obviously. The r9 is supposed to be the more workable of the two(has the mwt tech in it) and the 460 has a stock weight. If you want forgiveness go with the 460 but if you want a little bit of both, the regular r9 should be alright.

My philosophy on golf "We're not doing rocket science, here."

Not sure what the R9's are going for exactly but I scooped up a R9 460 for $199. The 460 doesn't have the MWT as mentioned above but it does have the FCT. I think the 460 drivers are generally more forgiving than the 420 drivers.

The 460 is marginally more forgiving. Not a ton, but some.
