I'm using a new technique to get more spin called a trap. When I hit the trap with a wedge the ball stays low and has a fair amount of spin. But I want to get a higher trajectory with the same spin on the full swing traps. Can you help me?

I ordered a Chicken and an Egg on the Internet, to find out which came first... I'll keep you posted!

Get a higher lofted club? The reason you get more spin is because the club head is descending into the ball, which also delofts the club face and launch the ball lower. A higher lofted club or softer ball would help. Hitting the ball with less forward shaft lean would launch it higher, but possibly also with less spin.

I see you have a 52, 56 & 60 wedges, if all your wedges are giving you a low shot you must be hitting the ball near your back foot. If you are looking for more height on your wedge shots you must play the ball closer to the front foot so that you are not delofting the club and allowing the natural flight of the ball from each of your different wedges. When you play the ball more forward you might start to hit behind the ball, the key to hitting the ball front of your stance is to image a circle and take the club back on this circle with contact of the ball or bottom of the circle just in front of the ball.

This motion of your backswing will help with all your shots.

You need to get comfortable moving the ball around in your stance to affect your trajectory with all of your short game clubs. Just keep in mind that as you move the ball in your stance, you may have to make fractional changes in face angle and/or alignment depending on your swing. This is something you need to practice until it becomes natural. If you're thinking about too much before you hit one of these shots in the course, the chances for a yippy, decel-job duff go up big time.
