Some A-hole decided to break into my truck while I was AT WORK earning a living and stole my clubs out of the back seat. If there is one positive out of this, my insurance should buy me a comparable set for replacement.

Your desire to change has to be greater than your desire to stay the same.

I know the feeling. The one time my clubs were ever in the backseat of my car, they were stolen.

Very sorry to hear that. I've lost my wedge once and couldn't deal with it for weeks. Hope your new clubs will be better than the one that got stolen.

Could be a blessing in disguise but I always try to take my clubs out of the car.

I have the same irons that you had stolen (according to your signature). Those will be tough to replace! Sorry for your loss, but this could be a game changing (hopefully for the better) opportunity for you.

wow, sorry for your loss...but of all the things someone could steal in car...why Golf Clubs.......but to be honest they are probably in your nearest Pawn Shop right now, you should check that out, to be honest I have a family member who is in jail currently in Florida for doing this exact thing, he would steal things out of cars and take to the Pawn shop for his habit and (stupid him) he would sign his own name down and give his license, that's how he got caught.

That sucks. I would be pissed if that happened to me. Prolly feel like a lost puppy dog when it came down to it because I wouldn't be able to play and I play like three times a week so. Good luck on finding them or getting your insurance to cover them.

You mean they stole your $10,000 set of clubs....? :D

I don't know what they were, but the insurance should know they were a top of the line set.

That was pretty irresponsible of you to leave that set of irons that Tiger won his Tiger Slam with in the backseat of your car. :p

Will it even be worth it to try and file an insurance claim? Around here, it comes out of your home owners policy deductible, which is usually 2% of home value.

Haha, pretty funny responses guys. I thought about inflating some of the values, but I'm too honest of a person. The break in was actually at my business (was going to hit range balls after work). I have only a $250 declductible, which will be easily covered by the damages done to my lock which was stripped out and therefore wont lock on my drivers side, the likely new set of keys I'll need, and the interior fabric which was torn by them dragging the bag out. So, basically, I'll look to just replace them. I'll likely buy used clubs this time, and improve my driver, 3W, and putter. It didn't hit how out of kilter I'd feel until I got home and was going to go chip balls outside when I realized in addition to my clubs, a new box of Pro V1's, a pair of binoculars, and my golf gloves were in there as well. That part was kind of depressing.

Don't cheat yourself - tell them you had an average set of clubs, take the $1000 and go get yourself a good set of clubs.
