I voted "I don't know" mainly because I relaly don't know. Warming up on the putting green does make a bit of a difference since I can get a feel for how fast/slow the greens are rolling, but outside of that I've never noticed or at least kept track of anythign to see if it makes a difference.

That being said, I always warm up before every round. My main purpose though is so that I don't oull a muscle out on the course.

Warm ups are great if you have to do so with out having to sprint to the tee, but stretching is crucial for me!!!! i like to feel as if i have already played a few holes when im on the first tee box.

Keep it where the mowers go!

Last night I shot one of my best rounds ever, took one warm up swing and then hit the ball.

I can understand the Pro's warming up, getting a feel for the ball flight they have that day and all, but for me, I have one ball flight, to the right! All I have to worry about is turning a slice into a power fade and a power fade into a fade. I have been playing 30 years, I have never had any other ball flight than right! I get my streching in by tying my shoes and getting my bag out of the trunk!

See you do warm up. Are you in the suburbs of KC?

It depends on what you call a warm up. I don't hit balls to warm up, but I do light stretching to relax my back. Before a competition round I work for 20 minutes or so on the chipping green and another 10 minutes on the putting green. Any more than that just hurts my game. It's been that way for more than 20 years now... hitting balls on the range tells me nothing about how I will play on the course, and usually seems to make the first few swings loosey-goosey.... I seem to lose all feel for the clubhead. The chipping practice does just the opposite... instills feel for what the club is doing, seems to help get my swing on plane, and tunes up my short game feel all at the same time.

I always try to warm up before a round. I spend most of the time on the range hitting a small bucket so I can get a good feel for my swing.

I'll hit some putts too to get a feel for the greens. Sometimes I'll practice chipping. I should probably practice chipping more than I do.

When I don't warm up, I usually have a poor front 9.

I guess I honestly don't know. I would like to think hitting warm up balls would help me find my swing groove. And I would like to think that putting on the practice green would help me get a feel for the greens... But I honestly don't know if, statistically, it has actually helped or not. Guess I haven't done an analysis.

I always like to try and get there early to putt so I can get a feel for the greens. But, come to think of it, I'm not sure I putt any better if I do. It's still the worst part of my game!

I usually get to the course early enough to pitch some shots on the practice green. That gives me a chance to work the back some, get a feel for the club in my hand since it's been a whole week since I held one. I usually show a 4+ stroke advantage over just arriving and heading straight to the first tee box.
