Maybe the networks continue to cover Woods' rounds to see if he can turn things around and start contending again?

Yesterday's round was pretty bad, but he showed on the back 9 that he's still there, still wants to make it for Deustsche Bank...he needs a great final day and I'm sure TV coverage will be on him in light of this.

Tiger plays the 1st 4 strokes lower than yesterday

Tiger's swing is much better this week. Like he said, he's still got some of the old swing in him, which we saw on the first tee yesterday. Such a hole obviously affect the entire round. Once he gets these changes incorporated, watch out.

Yep, and that was exactly his comment after the round: it was his old swing coming back.

His performance is a big story, as would the world's #1 when going through a stretch like this, regardless of who it is. Like said above, if he had put together the kind of magic he's capable of and he hadn't been shown at all, people would be pretty upset. So if he falls apart, it's news, and if he puts together a miracle, it's bigger news. Plus, they showed one stroke every now and then while showing pretty continuous coverage of the top groups. Seems reasonable to me. Tiger coverage amounted to a lot less time than the commercials they showed, so what's the problem?

That whole Furyk deal with missing his tee-time by a few minutes, and getting DQ'd was just crazy. Even Mickelson was frustrated about the entire thing, because and he said it wasn't very fair.

Woods had a roller coaster week.

After 27 holes: -8
After 45 holes: Even par
After 72 holes: -7

So he had a brutally bad 18-hole stretch of +8, but he also shot -15 on the other 54 holes of the tournament. Pretty crazy up and down week for him, haha.
