Pitch Mark

Yesterday, i was using a rock hard distance ball on a long course. So i wasnt expecting much spin or control...

I hit a 9i 130 yards onto a medium hardness green, PLONK. Stopped dead. I was very surprised

I got to the green to find my ball completely plugged in my pitch mark. It was like a dart. lol

Anyone else experienced this?

Yup, in London during last winter, a 150 yard par 3 I hit the green and it sat in the ground with 1.5cm poking out.

Happened to me three days ago at my home course. It had been raining for two days straight at that point.

I had to get out the excavator to repair the ball mark.

Happens quite a bit, actually, whenever the ground is soft.
I have a high trajectory shots, so mine tend to plug whenever the fairway/green is soft and wet.

Happens on green and fairway alike. Soft and wet greens are a good way to make the ball stick.
