Swap out your Snead 2-wood for a 13* or 15* 3W. Try out different shaft combos.

not gonna happen.

Nothing can cut through wind like that club.
Titleist 909f

a few people have suggested that club.

Any ideas on forgiveness? It's a titleist club so it's probably not going to be too forgiving.
Ping G15

I'll have a look at the G15/G10, seem to be nice clubs + they're good for distance.

I'd say it's between a Superfast (unless the face is really deep), R9 (unless it's 160+ euro) or a ping wood.

I see some Cobra clubs in your signiture. You might want to try the Baffler Rail 2H. It is 17 degrees and I hit it almost as far as by 3 wood and have alot more consistency.

The par 5's are pretty short at my course and since a new rule that states all juniors have to play off junior tees the par 5's are really short.

Can you answer some questions?

What have you tried? What do you have available? How far are you hitting those Tour Mode long irons? How far do you hit your driver? What distance is that shorter par 5 (the one you can almost reach now)?

I know you've said you use the 2 wood off the tee cause it's good in the wind, but it's got to launch higher than a 7.5 or 8.5 degree driver.

My Cleveland Classic 2w goes lower than a driver - not sure why. Straight as an arrow, long, and very low.

The ones that worked best for ME so far:

1) Ping G10 3W 15.5*
2) Macgregor MT 4W 16.5*
3) Mizuno F60 5W
4) Adams A4OS 3W 16*

The one I am trying desperately to work for me... Callaway FT-iz 3W 15*

I really like the Callaway Diablo Edge 3W and 5W. I hit the 3W great off the tee, and the fairway. I often match or out distance the guys drivers with lower handicaps in my foursome off the tee.

Can you answer some questions?

Nothing yet really.

My friend had a stiff 4 wood that he cut down an inch which made it play stiffer, I didn't like it that much. What do you have available? There's a big golf store nearby, will have all big brands. How far are you hitting those Tour Mode long irons? I use the 4i from 160-170m (176-184 yards) don't hit the 3i anymore. How far do you hit your driver? 220m+ (240+ yards) What distance is that shorter par 5 (the one you can almost reach now) only 425m!(470 yards) plays uphill. A hybrid will leave me with a small pitch in, 10-20m

To be honest, you might want to consider ditching your 3 and 4 irons in favour of hybrids. As far as distance with a fairway wood is concerned, it sounds like you might want to get a bit more out of your driver and 20 degree first so you'll get one you can use for a while. It sounds like you're probably playing off the proper tee boxes now - I thought you'd be bombing all the par 5s in two after moving up.

Cleveland Launcher seems a very under-rated club. I bought a Launcher 3 wood earlier this year and love it - now I want a matching five wood. Not sure why it isn't more popular.

What length are par 5's in the states?

These are really short par 5's compared to the rest of the courses I've played.

It varies from course to course from my experience it's been anywhere from 470-630 yards.

That seems pretty much the range around here - not too many sub-500 though. Most play 500-530 from the men's tees. And 520-580 from the tips.

There's a muni near me that has 3 par 5's that are reachable in two with driver/iron. Think all 3 are sub-500. I dream of one day making eagle on all 3 although I haven't managed to make one yet on that course.

    • Broke the head of a Stealth Plus on a warm up. TaylorMade send me a new head but I decided to upgrade it to the new IQ10 LS and pay the difference. While I was waiting for the 8° head to arrive at the store I messed around with all the multi brand putts they had available. I instantly liked a black TaylorMade Spider, not the new one but very similar. The weight felt perfect. Big line in the middle for easy alignment. I was playing and old Zebra so the change in technology and feel was huge. Fast review of both clubs.. Driver QI10 LS. I always hit to ball up in the sky. I was playing the stealth at 7° with a 60g X low flight shaft and I was still hitting it pretty high. With the QI10 playing it at 6° now is almost hard for me to hit it high, with the same shaft the ball comes out lower and with less spin. so I'm really happy with the change. Putter Spider. I love it. It took me an afternoon to figure out how to grip it (it comes with a superStroke grip) but after that it all came into place. More stable on short putts and a good weight to swing smoothly on long putts and with added forgiveness over my old zebra.
    • I have a 2h but we don’t get along anymore. It’s a bit of an abusive relationship - she gives me just enough hope once in a while that things are going to be better and then it’s back to the same old shit. I went to a PING fitting recently with the intention to replace the hybrid with a 5w or something, thinking maybe I’ll be better with a fairway wood than a hybrid. But it turns out the best club I hit that fits in that slot in the bag is another hybrid so I ordered it.

    • Not the last thing I bought or bought anything at all but Sun Day Red stuff seems a bit overpriced for it essentially being rebranded Nike apparel. I'm hearing the resale prices are wild though. Either way, I highly doubt I will indulge as I'm not much of a brand guy or a collector. But to keep up my super nice guy image have never turned down a gift though 😇 Tiger doesn't seem to sell stuff like MJ or Kanye did.
