lol have you just been ignoring the posts in this thread? Yes, you're gonna feel a difference in the clubs. No not because of the club making process but because they're made of two different metals.

Thanks for the breath of fresh air. Apparently properties of materials are irrelevant on the interwebs as around here forged=soft and cast=clicky. Period.

forget all this forum cant tell a difference in feel between two types of metal crap, I dont care what anyone says on forums and all the debates that go on. I can feel a difference in feel sometimes between a mizuno forged club and a ping cast club, period

This is a thread about wedges. Also, it's been stated multiple times that the difference is in the types of metal-and in forged clubs the metal tends to be softer, but it's not required. I agree that Mizunos feel softer than PINGs, but as Jamo stated, it's largely to do with sound.

Anytime.

This is my forte as an avid golfer/engineering major. It ties in quite well.

Waiting out the 2 feet of snow that just dropped on the course....

Personally I judge a wedge's feel by the leading edge, the bounce, and shaft/grip combination. Stainless steel wedges usually feel like garbage and I think it's been established here (finally - in other threads, even that was poo pooed) that carbon steel and stainless steel feel different.

Mizuno MP600 driver, Cleveland '09 Launcher 3-wood, Callaway FTiz 18 degree hybrid, Cleveland TA1 3-9, Scratch SS8620 47, 53, 58, Cleveland Classic 2 mid-mallet, Bridgestone B330S, Sun Mountain four5.

    • Day 292: light day today. Mirror work, working on getting my hips more open in the downswing.
    • Day 135 (27 Apr 24) - played Bradford Creek today while waiting for the missus fly in from her extended visit with the grands.  Good day to stay focused as it was a hurry up (groups pressing from behind) and wait (groups taking their time ahead)…a good day to stay mentally in the game - play the shot and not get frustrated in the waiting…
    • Day 122: 4/27/24 Supposed to be a Stack training day but I was beat after yard work today. Practiced chipping and putting at The Creek. The practice green is pretty slow but the session went well.
    • Went to the range today and was cursing myself when I got there as I realized I forgot my phone. I added an earlier wrist hinge to the short backswing I was using last time practicing and ball strikes were really good for the most part. I'm heading back to Boston Thursday to see friends and family and have a couple of rounds planned so I'm hoping to keep this feeling.  Yesterday morning I weighed in at 232. My goal had been 230 but maybe now it's 220. I'll have to think about that. I feel so much better without the extra 90 lbs. from 2 years ago. Still a softl slightly less protruding belly so it might be time to go hard on eating better. Work in progress.
    • Day 7- Went to the range and hit a bucket. Also did some chipping and putting.
