Yesterday I was at a Golf Mart with my mom getting my dad a new wedge for Christmas when my mom told me to come to her.  She introduced me to a Taylormade rep that was visiting.  Along with him he brought the new Superfast 2.0 driver, the much anticipated and already reviewed R11, and a new hybrid.

I didn't get to hit any of these clubs, but my friends got a R11 that I don't care for.  The new Superfast 2.0 was all white, with some lame decals on the top of the head, which I didn't care for at all.  The face on the 2.0 is a smoked out color much like the Superfast TP.  The new hybrid I didn't get to look at but I did catch a glance at it and it is also white.

Apparently Taylormade is debuting most of their new clubs at the tournament out here at Torrey Pines early in the year.  He said they will have 40-60 of these drivers in play, a staggering number that I cannot quite believe.

He did say that the drivers will be available to the public early February (i think) and the woods and hybrids later in March.  Keep your eyes open for pictures, I'm sure he would have had to kill me if I took some :D.

Stay warm,

Whitey.

What do you mean your friends got a r11 ? They got to demo swing the r11 or they jumped the rep in the back alley and now have in their possession a unreleased to the public r11 driver ?

When a company makes a club in the USA I will proudly display their brand here. All of mine were made in china by somebody making $2 a day. Shame on you Mr club manufacture.

his coach is jim flick at the kingdom out here in Carlsbad.  we visit whenever. he owns one and uses it.

I just got a Ghost...the white face wasn't the main draw, although it helped...I mainly just liked the feel and the roll it puts on the ball (I'm really trying to 'roll' the ball better) - I've always been a fan the TM putters for this, but I could never have put a Spider series putter in the bag, too ugly, too spaceship.

All that being said - I love my R9 driver and fairway, but if they're going to white clubs for everything, I'm not sure I'll be continuing to use TM Woods when I switch to my next driver and fairway. Too freakin' odd for me. I want something that looks like a golf club, not a Storm Trooper's leg.

That's all fine and good then, but for those of us who don't know that, it kind of makes you look like a jack-ass; especially when to this point you have 4 posts and nobody here knows who you are.

Back to the topic of the new TM clubs; I can say that I don't like the way they look for sure... white doesn't seem right...  Haven't really been a fan of their equipment for a while now (I did like my R580 driver though; but that was quite a long time ago).

i have the r11 and i actually like it. it looks like just like the r9 460, and the lofts are a little different. I hav an 8.0, not 8.5 etc.

the burner is 420 cc and besides that looks similar to last years burner. Plays similar too, just a little lower ball flight

the hybrid is just shit..... same crap as before, too much offset, balloon hooks.

r11 fairway woods are slightly more round than the r9 fwys which in my opinion sucked. The new ones look nicer and go further which is nice

2011 corza ghost is the same, grooves really dont change anything. The blade models are black and kinda UGLY...
