Snow is melting right here in Wisconsin.... I am from the Netherlands does anyone know when the ranges are opening? as soon as the snow is all gone or what?

It's 62 degrees and sunny with minimal wind here today, but I am hating winter because every course -- even the par-3 courses -- are closed in my area. So unfair. I do have a mat-range option that's a 20 minute drive from me. Debating whether or not I feel like doing that later today.

A little tired of winter myself, it's snowing in Az and I had to cancel a round of golf this morning on account of 25 mph winds.  Can't wait for spring!!

What part of wisconsin? I'm from Racine.  I played golf on new Years day one year in like 75 deg. The further north the longer takes man! It's snowing in Arizona if that makes you feel a little better  Stay warm...Joel

OP, Lido Beach is open for play and it's in rather good condition. I've never played in winter before so I don't have anything to gauge it upon but thought it was good. The wind has been quite crazy this past week though. I regret not keeping up with golf for the last two months. Been slacking off due to snow/cold and not hitting the range thinking that I'd start where I left off just like that. Now my swing feels so disconnected and lost.

I was going to play Friday but never booked and the course was booked till 2:30 by the time I thought maybe. Either way didn't go. That course is miserable in the wind. I played that course like 2 or 3 times a week last year from August thru end of November. Really like the front 9 more in tune with my skill level. Back 9 is kind of difficult in my opinion. wrx was there snow on the course? LB didn't look like there was any at all last week.

Milwaukee area.... Now it is snowing again so I hope I will be playing in like 4 months... is that reality?

Well i live in massachusetts we have been hammered with snow but one of our local golf shops purchased two golf simulators and it has been a dream come true. Is usually spend the winter sobbing because i cant golf but now we have a golf league every fri so it has been pretty awesome to go golf when the snow banks are 10 ft high. When i was putting my golf bag in my car the mail man looked at me like i was crazy i had to tell him about the simulators and it made his day cause he is a avid golfer so look online to see if there is a golf simulator near you.

just got 3 inches last night...thank god i'm going to myrtle this thursday...i'm just prayin that the snow is near gone when i get home so i dont' have to wait long to get back out...this winter has been absolutely ridiculous.

Just when I thought the golf season for me would be starting in March, LI got a fresh coat of snow. I may leave Wednesday for Myrtle Beach to play a few rounds with my Dad. Plus he keeps bugging me for the wedges I told him he could have.

Appreciate the offer, I will let you know if I decide to head down. We will be playing Wicked Sticks for sure which is like 5 minutes up the road from his house. He is a true beginner and I am fairly new myself. From the looks of your rating we would most likely slow you guys down. Thank you for the offer very kind of you, and I will get back to you if I do head down. 700 plus miles ugh. My back is going to be screaming.

we're driving down too. i begged and pleaded with my dad to take his audi A8L...to no avail. instead we're taking my mustang lol. believe me i hear you on the back hurting. we're going down there for a good time, not to play speed rounds. the offer is still there, playing with new people is the best part of the game in my opinion. either way, it's going to be a beautiful week so enjoy it, i know we will!

AAARGH...

Snow was already gone here at the heart of Europe, but decided to come back the last 2 days.

I already hoped, some courses would open at the beginning of March, but I don't think, it will happen now :(

    • Played Sunday and implemented the Mayo spinner. Hit my second shot long and left on three to a bare lie. I have seen this shot to a tucked pin but I don’t swing across it enough and hit it too far with a ton of spin but it rolled into the bunker. I pulled my approach short and left on ten to a horrible lie with about 3’ of rise to a tucked pin maybe 5’ on the green. Ball is in a damp lie with debris behind and in front of the ball. Hit it to 3.5’ but horseshoed the putt around the right edge, which was a common miss. I hooked my tee shot into an unplayable lie in the hazard on the left side of the par 5 16th. Hit a great recovery that rolled to about 45 yards short of the back right pin. Hit the spinner over a bumpy green that rolled just over the ridge to 3’. Sank the straight 2.5’ putt. Felt like I had good control of these shots!
