Anyone else drink Nuun when they golf? I've seen so many of the pros have them in their bags in Golf Digest, so when I saw them at Eastern Mountain Sports, I bough a...err...tube of lemon-lime. They're just 3 calories per tablet, some sort of electrolyte technology, and each tablet is supposed to go with 16.9 ounces of water, though I find the taste to bet better at about 14 ounces of water. They are a little pricey (12 tablets for about $6-$7, versus ~$8 for 24 quarts worth of Gatorade powder), but they have a cool website and the story behind them is also pretty neat, so check 'em out: http://www.nuun.com/

Here's the bottle I have, though they have since redesigned the labels.

In my bag:

Driver: Titleist TSi3 | 15º 3-Wood: Ping G410 | 17º 2-Hybrid: Ping G410 | 19º 3-Iron: TaylorMade GAPR Lo |4-PW Irons: Nike VR Pro Combo | 54º SW, 60º LW: Titleist Vokey SM8 | Putter: Odyssey Toulon Las Vegas H7

This product doesn’t look all that appealing, i.e., it’s junk.

First off, we as golfers are not endurance athletes. So if you find that you are suffering from the ill effects of an electrolyte imbalance drink some Pedialyte®.

Secondly, a glass of milk, a banana, and a pinch of sea salt will serve you better than any sport drink concoction.

Finally, this product contains both ascorbic acid and sodium benzoate which equals BENZENE.

I don’t mean to pick solely on this “sports pick-me-up” product because they all are junk.

You need to add potassium benzoate and ascorbic acid and sodium benzaote to make BENZENE. You can find it in alot of softdrinks too.
