Can I put the same shaft I have in my driver in my 3wood?

I bought the R11, but didn't like the BLUR stock shaft, so I picked up the UST Avix Core Blue Stiff 69 grams. I love this shaft because I get the proper trajectory and more carry for my swing.  I had it in my NIKE str8 fit.

Can or should I put the same shaft in my 3wood, or should I put in a lighter shaft?

I've read somewhere that you should use a shaft that is 10 to 15 grams heavier...but don't quote me on that. Whatever works best for you. You can try the the 79 gram shaft for your wood.

Fairway woods are usually heavier than driver shafts but it's up to you.  I play the aldila wasabi shaft, it is 60g in my driver and 70g in my 3 wood

The standard shaft in my burner superfast f/w wood is only 48g.  I re-shafted it with a Fujikura speeder 686 that weighed 68g stock, before I tipped it and trimmed the butt end to length.  It would be a few grams lighter now, but still quite heavier than the stock Matrix that was in there.  I find it feels better, not sure what I ended up doing to the swing-weight, but as I said, it feels good to me.  That Axiv is a .335 tip shaft, so you may need to use shims if your club's hosel is .350

I was thinking of switching driver shafts. Burner 10.5 and would like to add Aldila Habenero reg flex shaft from Diablo Edge driver.
