For me, I struggle with my mid-iron play the most (had to rely on my short-game to rescue me).

What do you struggle with the most?

- Driving?

- Irons?

- Wedges?

- Chipping?

- Putting?

- Bunker play?

I believe that was what's the hardest shot in golf, although I'm more interested in learning what segment everyone has the most difficulty with vs. one specific shot. Hope that's clear!

3, 4 and 5 iron shots in a tie with putting...I feel like both are, by my standards, very poor

Used to be driving, but now it's putting.  I have difficulty reading greens properly and have yet to get any consistency with distance (always too long or short).

I see what you are trying to get at.

In that case, I would say my long irons can be the biggest dynamic to my game. If I am hitting them well, I will have a great round. My short game got zoned in because of my long iron play wasn't up to par back when I first started playing.

Driving. Im terrible, it will be my focus this year. I know you only use it like 15 times, but I cant keep it in the fairway at all and I loose more stroke/distance then if I were to shoot a 3w twice.

Right now it's aim.  I am losing stokes with good shots, but poor aim.

Right now I would say irons and short game. The driver has shaped up a lot lately and my putting is usually fine. Irons are coming along, but still a way to go, short game is what it is, never work on it.

Easily the Driver. On short courses where I can play a hybrid of a tee on most holes, I dominate my buddies, but my home course is pretty long, and very tight. When I'm finding the fairway, I usually have a shot a breaking 80, but it's usually way, way off. Just got a new driver (finally got fitted, was playing something completely wrong for me) and after 1 round a I really believe it will make a difference. A couple of lesson's didn't hurt either

For me, it's all about confidence....stepping up to the tee and knowing you are going to knock it down the middle. However, easier said than done. When I am spraying my driver all over the place, it's usually because my tempo is faster than it should be (I believe this is the biggest reason why most golfers have trouble with their tee game - it's a natural tendency to try and kill it off the tee).

Confidence and a smooth tempo allows me to be much more consistent.
