Has anyone ever heard of him/taken lessons from him?

I was searching around, and he has pretty strong credentials. GSEB, Haney certified (ehh), several TPI certifications, K Vest (I guess some sort of #D modeling system), and he is apparently working towards AimPoint certification. He also appears to use Trackman, the K Vest thing, and V1, so that's good too. And he was the #2 ranked golf instructor in New England by New England Golf Monthly last year.

I'm not sure if I want a full swing lesson (though maybe one might do me some good), but if I can get a few Aimpoint lessons, that would be great. His prices are pretty good too, $100 for an hour.

Here's his website: http://www.dennissalesgolf.com/Home.aspx

Any thoughts?

Never heard of him, but make sure that he doesn't put you in this PVC contraption (from his website):

I'm definitely staying out of the PVC thing. I just really want a putting lesson and some drills to work on my long game.

He's a good guy. Tell him I said hi - he was at the AimPoint instructor training when we were out there in Vegas. I'd trust virtually any GSE* and since I've seen Dennis, talked to him, and so on I can vouch just a little more for him.

I'll invite him to this thread, though, and he can vouch for himself. I will tell you that he's guaranteed to be better than 80% of instructors simply because he knows what makes the ball fly the way it does. ;-)

Eric- thanks for the invite.  Hope everything is going well with you.  The weather around here is starting to improve.  Hopefully we wont get any crazy weather patters so we all can get out on the course.

Jamo- Not many people do know of me mainly cause I spent most of my years teaching at a private golf course.  Unfortunately I wasn't able to teach many non-members so it didn't make sense to create a webpage to promote my services.  Looking at your handicap I think you would be better served in having me as your coach and assist you during your practice sessions.   I've been doing coaching sessions which is a more cost effective program for over a year and my students really like it.  These sessions allows us to work together more and you have access to leading teaching technologies such as TrackMan.  Have you ever used it?  Eric will attest to it's benefits.  I've got John Graham a senior AimPoint instructor coming in May to run a clinic.  Will you be around May 14th or 15th?  If so, I would suggest you sign-up for the clinic.  Also, the $100 is for private coaching but doesn't include AimPoint lessons.  Lastly, anyone who signs up for the clinic is allowed to retake the clinic as many times as they would like at not charge.

Jamo & NI4NI- What is wrong with the PVC contraption?   Just because you have never seen it or even used it doesn't make it bad.  If used properly it provides a tremendous amount of feedback.    Have you two been exposed to the MEGSA system from Mike Bender? http://www.megsappe.com/MEGSA-Perfect-Practice-Equipment.item My PVC unit isn't exactly the same as his but it works pretty well and I didn't have to spend $15,500 on it.  You really shouldn't knock anything till you have tried it.  Just my opinion.

Starting from the top:

I have not used a Trackman, but I know what they are, what the do, etc. That's one thing I would like to try in a lesson, as I tend to get a bit steep on my driver and the spin rates get pretty high. As it gets close to the summer I'll either PM you on here or I'll just email you to talk about possible lessons.

Unfortunately I will not be around May 14th-15th. I get back to Hopkinton, MA, May 26th-ish.

Erik mentioned not to be scared of the PVC thing, so I'll take both of your words on it. I'm mostly afraid of braking it. I may be a pretty good golfer, but I have terrible coordination otherwise.

Dennis,

I'm sure it is a good teaching tool.  But you must admit that it could possibly remind some people of the Three Stooges episode when they were plumbers.
