A little tip I discovered one day when I kept pulling the ball.

A pull is when the ball starts to the left of the target line.

A push is when the ball starts to the right of the target line.

Reference .

If I want to hit a push-draw, I would align to the right of the target and establish that line as my target line. I open the clubface slightly, so it aims to the right of my target line (which is not the target itself). This puts the clubface at a position where it would push the ball to the right of my target line. By swinging in-to-out, the ball will get right to left spin.

The primary determining factor here is the position and orientation of the hands at impact. Different grips means that you can't directly emulate the position of someone else. The backside of the left hand is often used as a reference point for the clubface, but again, this will be different with different grips.

I have struggled with pulling the ball from time to time, partly as a result of flipping and partly from rolling. I found a way that worked really well to get the clubface more on my intended angle at impact. I simply imagine the ball flying over a spot on the ground after it has left the clubface. I use intermedia targets 1-3 feet in front of the ball when aligning my body, and this target serve the purpose well. When swinging, I just imagine the ball flying over that target.

May or may not work for everyone else, but for me it was worked really well. I've found it useful with every club in the bag. I don't think about the hands, just where I want to start the ball.

Good tip, I think.  I have done something like this in the past.

I have a slight draw in my shot, so I always address with the clubface opened a hair...
