Zip ties. They come in handy all the time. I've even used them as a makeshift belt n the past (run 2 of them between 2 belt loops and cinch down).

I carry a box of chalk in my bag so I can draw a line on the range and make sure that my divots are in front of the line....  everything else in my bag is pretty normal.

Have you ever tried two tees . .. . FEET_______TEE____BALL____TEE       ^ target ^

Yeah I know, that's a pretty sophistocated diagram.

Actually, yes, and that's what I did before I had the chalk... for some reason I like hitting off the chalk line better... don't know why, but I do.

Small notebook. I use it to take notes about my practice/play, things that went well, things that didn't go so well, stuff to work on, etc. I also take notes about the course; dimensions of the green, details of green break/slope, distances to bunkers, good layup locations, etc.

A brand new golf glove that is still in the package. That does not sound unusual at all. But it was given to me by my grandfather during the last time I saw him before he died. Golf was his passion and we played many rounds together while I was growing up. He finally knew the golf glove was not going to get used and he thought I might use it. Now I will carry it with me in my bag during every round as a small tribute to a great man that I miss very much.

Bungee cords. With the recession, some course have pretty beat up tie-down belts/cords to hold your bag on the cart. So, I have my own just in case.

Below is a list of the somewhat uncommon things (based on the bag I see on the course around here) currently in the Wilson stand bag in my car right now (not "necessarily" the bag in my signature)

1.) a ball mark repair tool - don't see a lot of guys using one so they must be rare

2) a flask of single malt scotch (modest stuff - probably Highland Park)

3.) forged blades (including a 2-iron)

4.) a laser rangefinder (common on the interweb, but I don't see too many in use on the course)

5.) a rule book

For #3, "uncommon" would depend on the single malt distillery and offering.  Laphroaig 40-year would certainly qualify.
