I'd bail. I'd send a letter of apology to the tournament sponsors, vow to come back next year to compete in the tournament, and then quickly get to Augusta.

Stay. It's supposed to be 18 tomorrow and Sunday with 36 on Monday. If it's raining here, it's raining in Augusta. As a matter of fact, it rains there AFTER it rains here. The storms move West to East. Now, if they push the BellSouth to Tuesday, that's a different story.

FYI, It's raining pretty hard at 10PM

I would think very heavily about bailing. I would rather be 100% ready to go for The Masters than the BellSouth Classic honestly. I know it's probably raining in both places, but that wouldn't really be my reasoning of leaving. I would like to get to Augusta well before Monday to get my rest and then get my practice rounds going.

If it were 18 tomorrow, Sunday, and Monday, I would probably stick around and play. But playing 36 holes on Monday just seems like it would take too much out of me. I wouldn't be able to make it to Augusta until late Monday night, and the rest of the week I would feel 1 day behind probably.

But that is just my opinion. I really wouldn't know until I was in the situation, and that won't happen anytime soon. If I was there right now, I may decide differently.

For my own personal benefit, I hope to see them stay around. 3 or 4 of the top 20 have already bowed out, so I hope to see Goosen, Mickelson, Johnson, Perry, etc. all stay around.

They should play 18 sat.and 36 sunday and thats it.Everybody happy and all still get to Masters fairly fresh.

100% bail.

As Erik says "...letter of apology etc etc" and get to Augusta to practice as Thrash says.NOTHING would get in the way of a potential 4 rounds at Augusta for me.Oh,and the small matter of a major to play for..........

I'd bail without a second thought on the matter.

There are some things that are simply more important in life. Tiring myself out by playing (potentially) 36 holes on two consecutive days seems like it would be a disservice to my chances at The Masters.

Chris Dimarco bailed.

Yes, and a few others we noted yesterday on the site. Donald, DiMarco, Flesch, Peoples, and another one or two.

    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
    • Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.
    • Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball. My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70. 45 is too low for me to go.
    • The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it. Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.
    • I have been carrying a 7 wood more often this year.  It’s especially handy if you have a downhill lie to an uphill green.  It’s also handy if the rough on the course is deep.
