I watched some of it. It's sometimes tough to take the announcers. That's a part of it. Plus, y'know, it's on during the workday or even before the workday starts on the west coast.

I have it DVR'd and honestly didn't even bother doing the same with the Nelson.....just going to watch the BMW and then catch highlights of the Nelson.

For the golf junkies out there, what other choice is there?  This is where the top players are at this week.....not so sure I love the B2B par 5s though....but better than finishing with a par 3 in our national open (god that was gross)

Ahh - there you go you see - I dont know what you have as an equivalent (TiVo?) but I record it off SKY Sports...watch what I can...but then at 8pm, they start showing PGA Tour. We get every tournament, 3-4 hours each day of every tournament.

Of course, one's got to be pretty nuts to watch golf, all day and all night.

They had a weather-break at about 4pm...everyone had to pretty much stay where they were on the course...they showed Casey and Poulter pounding down fish and chips from one of the fast-food vendors...

Rain, wind and all Luke Donald is still one of the most consistent players out there I think he would be deserving if he did win the tournament too bad it got rained out today.

This is playing like a US Open. Only 16 players under par and some big name players well over par (Schwartzel +13, Jiminez +9, Oosthuizen +8, Noh +8, Rose +7, Mcilroy +5, E. Molinari +5, McDowell +4, F. Molinari +4)

Cut will be 4/5 over probably

It's looking like carnage at Wentworth.

Rose 6-over and finished; Jimenez and Ouisthuizen both 8-over and finished; Noh 8-over with 2 to play; McIlroy going backwards (6-over after 1st in 2nd round); F Molinari 4-over after 17 (might just squeak in); and Donald has bogeyed the first...

Quite a stunning situation.

Harrington would love these conditions

Golf Channel had it on replay after work yesterday before they showed their Byron Nelson Replay.  So you can watch it then and on the weekend, you can watch it in the morning.  Not a big deal to me "watching wise."  Besides that, I think it's a wonderful tournament.  As a true golf fan, I enjoy watching the players play and can tune out the announcers if I have to.

But what about Alvaro Quiros???

Low round of the day - and he seemed to be enjoying it.

casey's comments - well, one comes to expect that, I'm afraid. Poulter is a bit disappointing. The course is tough, no doubt, but I don't think it's making fools of the players - rather, it is giving them the opportunity to make fools of themselves, if they so desire. If they over-reach themselves. If they forget there's a bloody grt canal in front of the 18th, not a little ditch any more!

there's an old saying I use from time to time (to myself, quite often!) - it's not the knob at the bottom of the club, it's the knob holding it that's the problem!

Mind you - the camerawork today was shocking. Not up to Sky's usual standard - I wonder if they're the BBC crews?

What were his comments?

I've never watched a tournament at this course I think Poulter was definitely right in calling it a tough one of course weather conditions aren't helping but definitely a tough course any day.

He went way beyond calling it tough - he was calling it essentially ruined and unfair. I strongly dispute the latter - it is tough (the 12th especially, which used to be a Par 5 but is now par 4 with a small green) but it is not making fools of the players - they are quite capable of doing that without any assistance! I mean, if you can't see the trees that are all over the place and hit into them (ahem - Justin Rose, Anders Hansen, etc) then it isn't the course's fault; the trees have been there for longer than the course itself.

The 18th is no longer a par 5 that invites a 'hit or bust' swipe, which can rob a worthy winner with a lucky Eagle; it's a challenging risk/reward hole. Previously, if you missed then you'd still find yourself in a position to go for a birdie; now, if you get it wrong with your approach you are looking at a bogey at least. But take your courage in both handss and your reins in your teeth and get it right, and the resulting eagle will be well-earned.

imho, anyway!

"I used to really enjoy playing this golf course and now it's a grind," said the 2009 champion, who played with Poulter and is on one-over. "I think Richard Caring [the owner] was perhaps wanting something like level par to win. Well he might get that, but does that make it entertaining?"

Is the course perfect yet? No - but how's your game? :-)  Yes the 18th could be tweaked a bit, and the 12th and possibly the 17th green as well, to make it a bit larger, but with steep run-offs. It is still way, way better than it was when the greens were so bad the pros were boycotting the event - that is just two years ago.
