I don't know what they cost in the US, but they are apparently expensive here in Oz.

The fact that it works by camera and some of the ball must be showing (if it's pointed in the  ball's direction within a certain distance) also means that the player should be able to see the ball too.

Another "thingy" to add to the golf bag and empty our pockets a bit more?

$263 - WOW - that's over 60 $4 golf balls.  Plus, if I get within 35ft of a golf ball I can spot it myself.  The website is down, too.

Sounds like those x-ray glasses I ordered from the back of comic books when I was a kid....they didn't work either.

I think it will work and probably uses "Image Recognition" software to find the ball.  So how well it will work is a good question but I'm sure in some many cases it will find your ball or at least a ball.

Will be interesting to see if any courses install them on golf carts a la rangefinders. Or, the courses could offer the services of forecaddies to accompany each foursome.
