I live in Indonesia. The only question about weather we have is rain, or shine?

90 F every day. Played on Wed, playing again tomorrow. Life is good!

Forgot to mention games, personally im getting tired of the same old with the TW series from EA. I always find myself going back to Links 2003 for pc, it's still the best exsisting golf game on any platform. For those who havent played it.. get the championship course's disc and customize your own season to fit the PGA tour schedule. Plenty of swing modes, and diffuculty settings available for when you master the easy settings. And course's like Oakmont and Princville will keep you coming back for years. Other than that, Id recommend Prostroke golf for you die hards who are snowed in right now.

I agree with you! Links 2003 is much better as a golf simulation game for PC!!

Great! I will try to follow your routine... especially the 50 putts per day!

ipark,

Fantasy golf is quite simple and makes watching the tournament so much more exciting. I play ESPN's Best Ball Challenge and PGAtour's Salary Cap game. I like ESPN's the best, here is the link if you want to join us. The first segment has already began but you could still join and learn to play, there are three more segments. http://games.espn.go.com/bestball/frontpage Our group name is "The Sandtrap Club" and the password to join the group is "forum" Hope you'll join us!

We play all year. If it is upper 30's, sunny, minimal snow on the ground we're golfing! I will purchase ladies balls on sale cause they don't feel like rocks. You also get relief out of snow.

You play golf!!!! What can't everyone play year round? Just kidding. Really I feel your pain, we are experiencing the worst winter ever on record. The Golf course where I work was closed 19 straight days and like 23 total days due to snow. We aren't used to this. Until Christmas I hadn't gone more than 4 days straight without hitting a golf ball in 2+ years.

Well today, the low is -29c (approx -20F) with a windchill around -35C, so i think i'll leave the clubs indoors today. I go to a local club and hit balls indoors almost everyday. They had a deal for a couple hundred bucks for 8 - 1/2 hr one on one lessons & unlimited hitting until March 15. Last year i didn't do anything all winter pretty much, and it was awfull. After I'm done in March, i'll go to a simulator and put it on driving range, so i can check my distances with each club.

Been playing for 4 years now and during the first 3 I could take advantage of indoor driving ranges, simulators, putting greens and all that. But now I've moved to a smaller town with no indoor range or any winter amenities, living in Atlantic Canada this means I'm on the shelf now until March, very little snow this year so far but that's still no help. Lots of Tigers Woods 07 (very glitchy game) and swinging in my garage, got a nice hitting net but no mat to hit off (next eBay purchase!). Lots of reading, and I like to work out a lot more in the winter, maybe add some extra power for next season. I might go into golf withdrawal and have to enter rehab as well. Who Knows!

Does anyone go to the gym to get fit?

I was trying to sign up in one but I was wondering how many of you guys think a gym is good to keep healthy/fit for next spring season.

Around here, in the town that has the University of Arkansas, I could join a Gym and just stand around watching the girls to get all the cardio work I needed.

Seriously, I have a membership that allows me access to several workout facilities, hot tubs, massage therapy, etc. I have used them very little. I promised myself that I was going to work on my flexibility this winter, but so far, stretching in my living room floor has been about it. I am gonna get the gal that does the massages to work with me on stretching me too I think.

Speaking of winter, Mother Nature dumped about 3 inches of snow on us last night, they are predicting another 1 to 3 today and they are predicting high temps in the low 30's through the next week. Looks like my golf is over for a while. I got to play last Friday, but not since. I even checked south of us this morning and it is also snowed in for 100 miles south. Aaaaaagggghhhhh!

Golf has been dead here in the Denver area since Thanksgiving. Most years we have to take a few days off here and there, but his year we got hit early with cold weather, then a major blizzard right before Christmas finished us off. We've had more snow this year than in any 3 years running that I can remember. I retired the 1st of January and I was looking forward to lots of weekday golf... right!!!! The good news is that I'm headed for Florida on Monday for a week, and the clubs are coming along.

To those who play Links... me too. I play regularly online with a group of friends from around the country and overseas (UK and Australia). We use a voice chat program to talk while we play, so it's as close as we can get to being on the course. We should be getting together here in about 2 hours....
